The guide was very friendly! The company did an excellent job rescheduling when the weather looked cold. The water was low so we only went through 2 tunnels. We got stuck in the sand 3+ times. It would have been helpful for the guide to go first and warn us about where it was low. This is the 3rd time I’ve done this trip. Due to water levels it was the least informative.

Guide was nice. Kinda bummed we didnt see any animals (we did the tour in the month of May). Especially since we saw dolphins at a restaurant the day before.

Tour description said “we’ll be looking for wildlife like tree crabs, huge conch shells, osprey, heron, dolphin and more”. Crabs were pointed out. No birds were pointed out- I had to ask about ones I saw. No other wildlife was pointed out. No shells, no sea urchins, birds,…..nothing. While guide thought he was funny- he did not read his crowd and adjust the humor. I have taken a similar tour a few times, each time I learned and saw new things and wildlife. This time-Nadda. Snarky humor did not suffice.

Yeah... the website says "We'll be looking for wildlife" and doesn't say "We will definitely see manatees and dolphins." Clearly you were misinformed or booked the wrong tour when you were upset you didn't see a "ghost orchid" which we don't have on our tours. Ghost orchids are hardly seen in the wild and are nowhere near where we paddle. Go to the zoo next time or book, go to a botanical garden or book a safari. It's common sense, we can't control mother nature.

I think it was just a tough day. The water was very shallow, making it difficult to paddle in some areas, and the wind was blowing us backward, so we definitely lost some time just getting across to the Bay Area. Which then meant that we didn’t have the opportunity to paddle more in and among the mangroves. I would expect this tour would look different if the weather and ocean levels were better.
