EVERYTHING was exceptional - pit stops, recommendations, restauarant reservations, Biltmore tour, EXCEPT the hotel. I usually love Aloft and was excited to stay, but this one was a "two thumbs down" experince. The fitness center and pool was closed, the room was missing essential needs at check-in, they didn't clean our room the following morning, bartenders were inexperienced and/or rude, and buffet options were limited based on staff shortages. Again, overall the good far outweighed the bad, but I wouldn't suggest booking Aloft for future clients again.

We just returned from our first Pack Up + Go vacation. We had a great time. It wasn't perfect, but it was a lot of fun. Here are the pros and cons (without giving the surprise away)... Pros: The responsiveness of the team was amazing. Any text or email was immediately responded to. We really felt the team was there along the way. We only had a 3-day (2-night) trip planned, and the location was about 2 hours away, but somewhere we've never been before; so it was great to have this selected. The hotel was in a great location and everything was within walking distance. There were some major airline delays, and the PU+G team kept us in the loop along the way, and rebooked activities as needed. The activities they booked were great. The restaurant reservations worked well. Cons: Not knowing where we were going, and the airline delays made things a tad bit unnerving. Perhaps we should have opened the envelope a few days earlier so we had some idea of what to expect (maybe it would have helped with the planning, but we wanted the surprise). If we do this again, I think we'll open the envelope a day or two ahead of time. There were a few gaps in our schedule, with a long list of recommended activities and dining locations and some must-see options. I would have preferred a much smaller, more curated list. Choosing from a huge list (when we have no ability to research) is where we struggle most as a couple, and what we were hoping to avoid with PU+G. I think it's a fine line for the PU+G team to balance overbooking and under-booking. I've seen other reviews that had a budget of $3,500 for a 7 day trip and were disappointed that their days weren't full of booked activities. However, in my situation, I had a $5,000 budget for a 2-night trip and they returned $1,500 back to us. I would have preferred some of this amount be put towards more activities (two months before the trip, I had written to the agency to let them know that I would prefer the keep up booked with activities rather than a list.). Summary... it was a great trip and experience. Great hotel location and the scheduled events were spot on. And the team was amazing. I just wish they packed a few more events into the schedule (or provided an "option A or option B" if we were to choose our own adventure). In retrospect, while the surprise was fun, we would have been better suited to have opened the packet a few days early to better fill in the gaps.

I love how everything was planned out and there was a new adventure every day.

It was nice to have everything scheduled for us. We would have never gone to a couple of the restaurants on our own.
