I asked for a basic 3-page brochure website that typically takes a few weeks to build. What I got for my more than $1300 were delays, incompetence, lip service and six weeks of lost, unrecoverable business. An online brochure project that should have been done in a few weeks is nearing one year and I am now permanently missing unrecoverable messages from clients during my busiest months of the year. Pace On Studio said they would refund my money but have failed to do so. On April 28, 2025 I hired Pace On Studio to start my website. I was charged $745 within an hour. In April 2026, Pace On started a second project on my website and charged me again. On April 29 they asked for the login to my Bluehost account. (Bluehost is the company that stores my website and runs my business email, so this login is essentially the master key to both.) They said they needed it to migrate my domain, which is a routine task. I gave them access. The next day, they asked that I again transfer that access to "our IT team." at a gmail address, not a company email address. That same day, they changed my domain's nameservers. (Nameservers are the setting that tells the internet where my website and email actually live.) In pointing that setting away from Bluehost, my email host, they instantly cut off my business email. That was it. I didn’t see another email. I didn’t realize this was happening so I didn’t realize that I was no longer receiving emails from clients. At some point, over a month later, I realized I wasn’t receiving mail. I contacted Pace On and reported it as an emergency. They immediately began "working on it". My email stayed down. I checked back the next day. Still "working on it". I kept telling them it was an emergency and that they needed to prioritize it, but it wasn’t getting fixed. Finally, several days after asking for Pace On’s help, I contacted Bluehost myself and had the issue fully resolved myself within hours. In spite of days of reassurance from Pace On that they had been working on the problem, Bluehost noted not a single record of anyone from Pace On even contacting them at all. Pace On had caused the issue due to their own incompetence and then they had failed to correct it, so I had to do it myself. At the height of the summer and when most of my business requests land in my inbox, every email sent to me during that window is gone for good with no autoreply to a single client. More than a year after my first payment in April 2025, I have no working website, $1,300+ gone, and six weeks of lost business correspondence. Whether this is incompetence or something worse, the outcome is the same. And now instead of honoring the refund they promised me, they are continuing to harass me. I have attempted to challenge this company in small claims court but I can't because I can't even locate any registered business address for them. I searched for them under every possible name they've given me using every possible piece of evidence I could and I cannot locate them despite them accepting payment and operating a live website. I've had to go through my bank to dispute the charges and attempt a chargeback. Do not hand this company access to your hosting or domain under any circumstances.

They buy good reviews. If you leave honest feedback they call and try to buy you to delete your review. They don’t try to give reasonable solution. Such a scam

The initial website design was visually appealing, but the overall experience was disappointing due to poor communication and major technical issues. First, after the site was completed, the developer informed me that making the site ADA compliant would cost an additional $5,000. This was never mentioned during the planning or development stages. ADA compliance is a standard and essential requirement for modern websites and should be clearly discussed upfront—not presented as a surprise upsell. It felt like a bait-and-switch tactic. Second, less than 30 days after the site went live, it completely crashed. It wouldn’t come back online, and I had to hire two independent developers and consult with my hosting provider to assess the issue. All of them confirmed that outdated, unsupported plugins—some more than four years old—were used in the build. One developer even remarked, “Either they didn’t know what they were doing, or they were cutting corners at your expense.” As a result, I had to pay out of pocket to repair issues caused by the original developer. They offered no support or accountability. This experience leads me to believe that their business model is more about quick profits than quality work or client trust. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience. If you choose to work with them, get every detail in writing upfront—and have a third-party developer review their work before going live. **After posting this review, i was sent a threatening message and then trolls began posting negative reviews on our Company. This childish behavior emphasis the lack of professionalism this company possesses. DO NOT USE THEM.

This process has been a complete disaster. Bait and switch at its finest. When we signed up we were promised “straightforward pricing”. We were stood up for a meeting with our website designer. We gave very specific instructions with points of reference for our vision, even with pictured examples repetitive mistakes were made. We had a logo we had ready to go they convinced us to let them try to design it so we paid more money for a logo design, the designs they provided were simply not even close to our vision. We ended up using our own logo. The final straw was at the end of the project they tried to get us for over $2000 for unexpected charges in regard to a hosting website, which was never disclosed or mentioned. We were under the impression the price we paid up front covered everything. We asked to stop the project and they agreed. I then left my first negative review to which I was told if I delete my review I’d get a full refund. So I deleted my review. We received a partial refund and I asked for the full refund to which I was ignored there for here we are with my updated review. This is not to mention the representative I spoke to was condescending and rude. At this point regardless of a full refund my review is final.

This company is a complete SCAM. I went under contract in August 2024 with Pace on Studio and all went well at the beginning and after paying fees for Logo design and dedicated server the communication stopped, no response. I ended the contract in Dec 2024 and requested a full refund as outlined in the contract. I have been given the run around and no call back or communication. Look at the addresses given, they are false, disappointing and do not trust. ** I have read the reply and would like to speak with a representative from Pace on Studio to help resolve this issue. Thanks, Mark Odell

Hi Mark, We’re disappointed to see your review and would like to offer clarity on the situation for the sake of fairness and transparency. You entered into a contract with us in August 2024 for a comprehensive service package that included a custom website, trademark assistance, and a dedicated server setup. All these services were initiated on your behalf and involved significant time, technical resources, and legal involvement. Contrary to your statement, we did not abruptly stop communication. In fact, our team made repeated attempts to contact you for continued input and approval at various stages, with little to no response. Your decision to end the contract in December 2024 came without prior warning or a valid explanation, despite the substantial work already completed. While we always aim to be flexible and fair, requesting a full refund at that stage—after services were delivered and resources allocated—is not in alignment with our contract terms. Our legal and creative teams had already committed hours toward your project, and as stated in your agreement, refunds are not applicable once work has commenced and deliverables are underway. We understand your frustration, but it's important to recognize that contractual obligations go both ways. We remain open to resolving this respectfully and professionally, and we’re happy to discuss a fair outcome within the boundaries of the signed agreement. Best regards, The Pace On Studio Team

These guys are scams. Extremely bizarre experience. First, they promises they made were good on paper. but when i paid them half up front, a week later supposedly that person get fired lol and then a new person is assigned to me. this guy ask me nicely they were never rude. He asks me if i can pay the last part of the payment. I said i dont feel comfortable because i have already paid the first have, this guy says i need to pay my tram to create the website. and im like okkay, what happen the money i sent before, guy basically run around the question lets me have a few days to think and say he will start on the website in the mean time. Gut feeling kept telling me that this was very weird. as I am web developer in the past i have never worked or experienced this before. Also i saw the guy they supposedly fire on their chat lol Stay away! they got me with dropping the price alot and i thought i could over look my gut feeling. I rather hire fiverr than these guys PS. The new guy asked me if i can pay today and then when i asked any updated on the website. he says i will have mock up for on friday. lol dude said he would have something to show today. Everytime no work but asked for final payment. NOPE! i ratther loose part than all my hard earned money.

Hi Ali, After thoroughly reviewing our records, we can confirm that no client by your name, email, or project details exists in our system. We take all reviews seriously, but this one appears to be either misinformed or deliberately misleading. At Pace On Studio, our contract, billing, and communication history is fully documented, and we’re happy to present it at any time upon legitimate request. If this feedback was posted in error or intended for a different company, we’d be happy to clarify. You’re welcome to reach out to us directly at [email protected] with any details so we can investigate further and resolve any concerns. We’re committed to honest practices and clear communication with every client we work with. We appreciate your time and wish you the best moving forward. Warm regards, The Pace On Studio Team

Started out with a pleasant conversation regarding 2 sites I needed. Easy. Small. Short. Escalated to immense confusion, doubling the price. Sending me fancy mockups when all I wanted was ONE PAGE. It was a very bizarre experience. And I've hired designers for 40+ years. IT WAS NUTS! CANCELLED after 3 days of demanding money for not what I ordered!

Hi Maggi, We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few points. You were onboarded with us on a $300 package, and while our initial conversations were indeed off to a great start, there was a brief communication gap due to the California storm that impacted both our teams. Despite this unforeseen circumstance being out of everyone’s control, we remained committed to making things right. You requested a refund within the same week, and although significant time and creative effort had already gone into your project—including mockups that were shared based on your initial brief—we processed your full refund without any hesitation. We’re genuinely sorry for any confusion during the early stages, and we’re glad we were able to bring things to a close quickly and respectfully. Wishing you all the best in your continued creative journey. Warm regards, The Pace On Studio Team
