I didn’t renew my subscription
Geraldine S.
Edit: I received an email thanking me for my recent purchase of Oyla magazine. I made an incorrect assumption that my subscription had auto renewed. I have been trying to find where to cancel this magazine since you started sending me notifications that subscription was expiring. This is why I will never subscribe online because it's very confusing on where to go to cancel. My granddaughter didn't like this magazine and now I don't like it either.
Response from OYLA MagazineJun 23, 2025
Dear Geraldine, We apologize for the inconvenience. As mentioned in our email response, we were only able to locate an expired subscription that will not auto-renew, as it was a gift subscription. We will be awaiting your reply to our question about whether there is another subscription that has renewed—we’ll be happy to locate it and issue a refund if you prefer. For future reference, you can turn off auto-renewal at any time by clicking “Turn off” under “Automatic Renewal” in your account settings, or by contacting us via email. To unsubscribe from reminder emails, simply click “Unsubscribe” at the bottom of the reminder message.

First time purchaser of magazine, it looks great, however, when I purchased online I didn't get any email confirmation and I wanted to get an estimated delivery as I live abroad and need it to handbarry it back. I've been trying to reach out through the contact form as well as email and haven't heard back at all. It's been close to two weeks.
Response from OYLA MagazineMay 29, 2025
Hello, We apologize for the inconvenience. Our first-time deliveries can take a little while (up to 4 weeks) due to publishing and shipping. It is unusual that you haven't gotten a reply to your email - perhaps, it has ended up in the spam folder. We have sent you a request for information, and will locate your email once we know your email address.

I have ordered 2 copies of back issues to be delivered to 2 separate addresses fro my grandchildren. The orders were placed 7 weeks ago and havent been delivered. Tried calling their London phone and it goes to a fax machine. Really? I'll be asking for a refund.
Response from OYLA MagazineMay 16, 2025
Dear Robert, We apologize for the inconvenience. The magazines typically take only up to four weeks to arrive. Please contact us at [email protected], and we will investigate further.

We can't call and talk to a person, I have sent emails no one has gotten back. They have taken my money, but no magazine.
Response from OYLA MagazineMay 8, 2025
Dear Barbara, We apologize for the delayed response. It appears you have put your subscription on hold shortly after purchase. When a subscription is on hold, magazine shipments are paused. We have now made your subscription active again, so the magazines will start getting shipped.

I purchased a digital subscription after reviewing one of their complementary downloadable PDF versions, and reading that a digital subscription comes with complete access to PDF versions of their editions since 2020. After purchase, I attempted to retrieve a PDF copy of the latest version to provide to my daughter, since the embedded reader isn't terribly user friendly for her tablet. When I couldn't find out how to download a PDF copy I reached out and asked their support channel for help. Their response was basically they don't provide PDF versions of their magazine for copyright reasons. Ok, fair enough, however the website is very much misleading, as it doesn't really say that PDF editions are only accessible via their embedded PDF viewer on their website. All in all, I'm now stuck with a digital subscription that I can't realistically use as I was expecting, I'm yet to hear back on my refund request. Honestly, I really felt very mislead by this company's marketing and just want others to fully understand what they're getting into.

Please do not buy it - better spend this money on a good book. I ordered 6 weeks ago, received nothing, no one answers my messages, my comment on their instagram posts keeps getting deleted. Terrible deceitful service. Probably a scam.
Response from OYLA MagazineFeb 6, 2025
Dear Liliia, Thank you for your review! We apologize for any inconvenience. While all magazines are typically delivered on time, occasional delays or lost shipments can occur due to various reasons, including address issues. Whatever the case, we are always happy to resend any missing issues. It’s unusual that you didn’t receive a response, and we sincerely regret any oversight. Please note that the best way to reach us is via email at [email protected]. If the issue is still unresolved or if you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

I ordered a 6-month subscription for my grandson. He recieved his 1st issue mid-March 2024. I just got an email indicating the subscription ends next month, July. this is only 5 issues. This company does not allow any phone calls. You cannot speak to anyone directly. An online phone number for the company leads to thier IT online developers who hung up on me rudely. I was going to carry on with another 6 months, however now I must pursue with my credit card company to dispute this company if I do not hear back from my emails and Facebook messages.
Response from OYLA MagazineFeb 7, 2025
Thank you for your review! It sounds like there may have been a misunderstanding. Our system counts one issue ahead, so while your subscription may have officially expired, you would still receive the next month's magazine. We send an email notification before the subscription expires. It's also possible that one of your issues was lost in transit and needs to be resent. We’re sorry if there was any confusion or delay in our response—our team strives to address all customer concerns as quickly as possible. If the issue is still unresolved or if you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected].
