I ordered a sofa from them online since it had high ratings. However, when I received it, it was used and damaged in the corners most likely from transit since they did not package it well. I contacted them on Friday and they did not respond until Monday. They have tried to offer money to keep the damaged item rather than immediately get me a return label and a UPS pickup for this package. Then they said that the carrier will be contacting me within 10 days like I have time to wait around and have $700 sitting there charged and have yet to get me a label to return this damaged/defective product. So I am out $700 while they jerk around with the carrier. This whole experience has left me with a bad taste in my mouth and I never want to order here again. If they do not get me a label and pickup soon I am going to have to file a chargeback.

Dishonest every step of the way
The estimated shipping time is intentionally misleading. I selected the expedited shipping option (1-3 business days) thinking that it would be delivered as early as next day, only to find out that it takes an additional 1-2 days for my order to even leave the warehouse when I talked to one of your customer service reps. She indicated to me that this was a common complaint that the CS reps wished was different as well, which leads me to believe that you are intentionally deceiving your customers.
Not to mention that the only reason that I was on a call with your CS rep at all was because my order was cancelled when my address was flagged by loss prevention (which the cancellation email didn't say). It took 20 minutes and a slew of obscure security questions about cross streets in my new neighborhood and "names associated with me" for you to confirm my shipping address, which is baffling since it's also my billing address and I've never had any problem with deliveries there before.
This was my first time shopping with you, and it will absolutely be my last.

OVERSTOCK = CROOKS, THIEVES!!!!
They did nothing but take my money and rip me off! Ordered a $638.00 bed a month ago. Item never delivered, despite delivery dates/times given twice. Waited all day for nothing. No calls, emails, refunds. I am just out the money. What a ripoff!!!! Never again!!!

Late Delivery
I purchased an item from Overstock.com and when I complained about the missed delivery date the customer service rep argued that the delivery was not late. 3 day later I am still waiting for the item to arrive. They did nothing to try to help me or bring me back to their website. They are very good at stating the obvious but they do nothing to try to fix or keep you as a customer.

DO NOT SHOP
You must pay to return items and wait forever for a refund. Poor quality products are the norm.

This company are a total sham, I've …
This company are a total sham, I've never dealt with them but have been bombarded with emails from them for weeks. Have clicked Unsubscribe over 40 times & contacted them twice. Despite being assured by them that my email had been removed from their list, I still get bombarded with their stupid emails daily.
Beware: When they get their hooks into your email address, it's almost impossible to stop them. Any company that bombards people with totally UNSOLICITED mail in any form are to my mind Lowlife scum.

TERRIBLE: A rep gave me the wrong info, and this caused me to lose access to my eGift card
I had a $100 eGift card to use on Overstock.com. I wanted to buy four $25 plastic gift cards to be mailed to my home so that I could give the cards as gifts.
Before placing my order, I spoke with Virginia to confirm whether I could, in fact, use my eGift card to make this purchase. Virginia said of course I could use the eGift card to buy plastic gift cards. So then I placed the gift cards in my cart and paid with my eGift card. EXCEPT when I submitted my eGift card for payment, the screen showed that it didn't apply the eGift card balance to the gift cards, and so I couldn't place my order. But even though my order never went through, the system still removed my $100 balance from my eGift card, making the balance $0.00 with no order placed.
Right away, I called customer service again, and this time I spoke with Oakley. He told me that the other rep was wrong, that you CANNOT use an eGift card to purchase other gift cards. He said that although he could see my $100 in their system, he could not see it in my account, and he could not even apply the $100 to an order if he tried. He told me that he would forward this problem to the right department, and someone would call me within one to two business days.
Nobody ever called me, so I had to call Overstock.com to inquire about my missing $100. After a half hour or so on the phone and being placed on hold, the rep told me that the $100 is available in my account online and can be used on an order (but not on gift cards). I told her that I wanted my $100 back as an eGift card, that because of Virginia's mistake, I'm stuck with a $100 balance sitting in my new account (I don't need to buy any merchandise from Overstock.com any time soon). I had wanted to either give the $100 eGift card to someone or to buy four $25 cards to give as gifts to people. And now I can't do any of these things.
The rep told me that Overstock.com cannot give me back my eGift card or create another eGift card for me. This is so WRONG! The system should NEVER have removed my funds from my eGift card when there was no purchase made. Since Overstock.com doesn't allow people to purchase gift cards with an eGift card, then they shouldn't have deducted any funds from my eGift card balance. I shouldn't be punished if their system is faulty. I've never had this happen on any other web site.
I am so disappointed and unhappy with this experience. Overstock.com refused to do anything to make this right for me. They need to re-train Virginia, because she should know the answer to a simple question such as "Can I use my eGift card to purchase some plastic gift cards on your site?" And since this whole mess was caused by Virginia giving me incorrect information, Overstock.com should reissue me an eGift card.
If I could give zero stars to Overstock.com, I would. I cannot recommend this retailer to anyone after my poor experience.

Unacceptable customer service.
I ordered a new unlocked phone which was set to arrive for Friday. When I got the phone (which came poorly packed with only two air cushions in the box, really come on) the phones box was kind of beat up but luckily the phone wasn't trashed. Even though it was banging around in the box. Turns out the phone isn't even unlocked! I sent them an email and they did reply the next day as I asked for a call to straighten things out explaining that I needed a working phone for next week as a lot of my business calls are over the phone and I needed a phone next week. The rep only apologized and assured me that it is defective but rare and they can only have it replaced even though it just needed the unlock code. Anyway I'm getting it next week but I still don't have what I ordered and don't know what to expect. This whole experience has left a bad taste and I don't think I'll buy from them again as they don't appear to be dependable and it would've been nice for them to at least overnight the phone. Amazon and Newegg have come through for me and done exactly that for me when something went wrong. They know how to take care of the customer.
