I view Overstock as an old-school company when it comes to online deals. They tend to be forgotten amidst companies like Wayfair and of course Amazon, and seem to have lost their identity in recent years. I've never had a problem with a transaction on Overstock; I just wish they had a clearer idea of who they are and what they offer - otherwise, they never pop into my mind when I'm looking for something online. They are a good source to get Polywood outdoor furniture at a discount, however.

Staff at Overstock have told me to buy it at your own risk. Several items including furnishings, rugs and clothing are great. Some items are disappointing or rip off. On some returned items, sometimes wrong or not as pictured. Sometimes, I paid for shipping. And Sometimes, they would pay for return shipping. But, again remember that buy it at your own risk.

While products are plentiful and decently priced, Overstock's customer service and return policy are poor. I tried calling Customer Service and was advised of an exceptionally long wait time, so I tried the chat function. Although I was just asking a question about making an exchange versus a return, the robotic response was, "Sorry, I cannot help you with that." The return policy, even for those of us who joined the "O Club" for $19.95 a year, allows only store credit. Thus, once you buy something, you cannot get your money back under any circumstance.

should not be named overstock should be Overpriced. The same items are available on Amazon for sell money and free shipping

Updating - I finally reached someone who cares - kudos to Robin M!!! ------------------------ I ordered an item needed for a particular date from the overstock.com store on ebay. Overstock.com shipped the wrong item. I went to ebay..they told me to contact Overstock. Guess what? Overstock told me to contact ebay. The way I see it they have my money and overstock's name is on the packing list and they made the mistake. But they are going to help me out and escalate this so I should get a call in 2 days. I got so many canned chat responses it was nearly comical. Wow!

I am ashamed of this company. I ordered an oversize order that I understood would take weeks to deliver. However what I did not expect was for the company to misquote their delivery times within an email and then over the phone. (I received two very different quotes). Secondly, my order sat in processing well after multiple calls to the warehouse to identify the estimated shipping. Two weeks after it was supposed to ship it finally did. Come to get a call from the local delivery company to schedule a date and we asked about the additional offers available listed on the Oversized delivery policy on Overstock.com website. We wanted the item placed in the location we were to keep it (600lbs delivery). The shipping company stated they only bring it to us. It was our responsibility to get it off the truck!!! That is absurd and I for one was not going to have it. I called customer service for the n'th time and stated this was not acceptable. They mentioned my order was only available for curbside and not available for the special delivery options (even if I wanted to pay extra). This was a shock to me since I read carefully before placing my order. Had I known I would not have ordered from this company. However they did state the shipping should at least take it off the truck. There is an issue between overstock and the shipping area for oversized items that needs to be addressed and buyer be warned they may not offer the options stated (even though it did not mention 'exclusions applied to ...'). I was extremely upset and refused shipping and demanded a refund for the full price. I will never order from them again! Update 9/7/17 They have issued a full refund and covered the return shipping cost. I'm at least satisfied with the fact they took accountability.
