Overstock.comReviews of overstock.com

I contacted Overstock to return an item that wasn’t as represented. I was told I could print return off return shipping labels, however they were going to charge me $47.00 for shipping on a item that cost only $51.00. Do the math! $51. - $47. = $4.00 is all I’ll get back! I will never do business with Overstock again! INSANE!

sent wrong item, wanted solid black rug but received patterned black rug tried to return, my account does not show item i paid for

Don't waste your time with this company. I buy furniture & decor for clients as a designer. The quality of products found here is often disappointing & if you do have to deal with customer service, you'll be sorry you chose them.

Be aware, you're not buying furniture and decor, you're just buying a kit to build it yourself. You have to assemble every item, including lamps and clocks. I have ordered from them a few times, and I liked the items. Assembly was not too difficult. However, this time I needed to return the item. This was a bench that cost about $106. Their prepaid return label cost $59!!! So basically I'm paying $59 just to find out this item wasn't suitable. I also don't believe UPS really charges that much to ship a box like this. From now on I'm sticking with Amazon or buying in person.

Shipping takes much longer than it should. I ordered an item on October 1st, it didn't ship out until 11 days later, on the 12th. The latest tracking shows it won't be received by me until the 20th! I understand that the delays intransit aren't their fault by why did it take 11 days just to process my single item, wall tapestry; in the first place? This is the first and will be the last time I order through them. Not impressed at all.

I've bought many items on this site. Most of the time there is no problem even when having to return a defective item. I just had a seriously annoying experience with them. I received a mildew infested rug and called them. They said the price of a call tag exceeded the value of the rug so dispose of it. They said they'd refund in 3-5 days. Never happened. Called after 3 business days...they said wait 5..still no refund. Chatted with them and got the same run around...wait another 3-5 days. I insisted on a supervisor..they would not connect me to one. I told them I was filing a complaint with Paypal immediately after the chat. The threat evidently was effective. I was refunded while in the process of filing my Paypal complaint. I received a damaged item the order before this and they sent a replacement but insisted I keep the original damaged item for 2 weeks until the carrier could "inspect" it....never happened. The prices are all over the place so you have to shop for a while before placing an order...the 15-17% off is a scam...you have to price watch for a while. They have really pissed me off over the past month...don't know if I'll order again. I don't like having to call and chat 5 times to get a refund for a seriously defective item.

I bought a Gazelle Edge off of Overstock and didn't realize it was from another seller: spreetail. A part was damages so I notified Overstock and requested a replacement. I was told that I had to contact spreetail. I sent photos and requested a replacement part from spreetail but never heard back from them. I then emailed Overstock and they wanted to know the part number and said they'd try to help. Really? So, I contacted Gazelle with my serial number and they sent me a replacement part. Basically neither spreetail nor Overstock were any help at all in getting the needed part. Just be careful when you order and I would recommend NEVER ordering from a seller that is not Overstock, so look carefully.

I purchased a sofa from Overstock during their Independence Day sale. Less than 24 hours later advertised on the same sale was the couch for over $100 less. When I contacted customer service they said there was nothing they could do and to read their policy. The couch did arrive within specified time frame, however based on their pricing policies I will not purchase from them again.
