I ordered a beautiful comforter set from Overstock Canada and the payment came out of my account almost immediately. A few days later, I check the tracking and find that they've cancelled the order because their Loss Prevention Department couldn't verify my order. What the heck does that mean? Loss Prevention? The payment had already gone through! Upon further inspection, I see they did refund my payment a few days after I'd placed the order but neglected to tell me they'd cancelled it. When I contacted Customer Service to inquire, they responded saying that the verification issue was resolved so I could re-order now. I did that. The very next day, same thing happened: the Loss Prevention Department can't verify my order so they've cancelled it. Verify what? They already have the payment. Why don't they just admit that: 1) They don't have the comforter; 2) they have it but can't ship it to Canada; or 3) they're just collecting people's personal information and credit card numbers and have no intention of sending me the comforter - ever. Based on the MANY poor reviews here, I think someone needs to investigate this company. They sound like a huge scam.

The person who said returns are a nightmare was not joking. Bought 500 dollars worth of drapes. Despite the fact the drapes were described as linen color but the lining was gray! Sent them back. Weeks they said they were at the dock. Not checked in yet. Then I could only get an instore credit. Even though I purchased other drapes from them. Once they get your money you can't get it back no matter what the issue is.

100% on the issue with returns. It is an absolute nightmare. Defective product matters not to them so long as they get their money. I was “lucky” enough to have replacements sent, but now they want to charge me twice for not receiving the returns that I told them both on the phone and via email were impossible to disassemble and rebox (not to mention the waste in that when they are broken and would be thrown away upon arrival). My cc company, on the other hand, has excellent customer service and will deny charges if they try that. Bottom line, buy at your own risk, and if you do, be sure you use a payment method that will stand behind you.

FRAUD advertising and merchandise. I ordered a couch that was advertised as "Top Grain Suede Leather." What I got was a vinyl PVC couch. Worse, the print from the instructions bled onto the vinyl. I phoned Overstock and got some guy from a foreign country who had zero clue about the O Club. He made me send photos of the item (which I did) and then had the gall to tell me that I'd received STORE CREDIT instead of a refund. This is fraud and robbery. I want my money back and I will make sure never to order from overstock again. I'm going to report this to the FTC and FCC for false advertising. The photo clearly says leather, but it is a vinyl couch. Then, the guy on the phone was so inept I had to email the photos to him EIGHT times. There are literally eight emails to him in my sent items. I am just so livid. I took off work and ran home to be there on the delivery date because they missed the original delivery date and came back the next day. Then these shysters have the gall to say they aren't going to give me my thousand dollars back.

Buyer Beware, if you order something make sure you won’t be sending it back! This company will rip you off on returns and give you back less than half the money you paid for the item you are returning, if you choose the pre paid return label even if you are an O member. The O membership is useless don’t waste your money. They have the return to automatically default to refund instead of credit to my account, if you miss changing that you will NOT get your full purchase price back. I will NEVER buy from this Company again!

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I have ordered multiple items from them. It takes 5-6 weeks to receive. I had an item that I purchased in the wrong color so wanted to swap it out. They charged me $42 shipping. Then when they received my item back they gave me a store credit. Once I receive my last item I will never order through this site again. Wish I had read the reviews first.

I recently ordered a set of plant stands. They arrived perfectly packaged. One of the wood tops had a deep scratch, and the rubber feet on some of the tables were broken off. I wrote a review about this product, and overstock.com refused to publish it, stating that my issues had to do with shipping, not the product. I edited my review, stating that the packaging was excellent and that there was no damage to the box at all, and that the damages HAD to have occurred BEFORE packaging and shipping. My review was again denied, and I was again told to contact shipping. These are NOT shipping issues. These are product quality issues.

I ordered a clothing rack and spent over an hour putting it together with 50+ small screws that were difficult to screw in and impossible to remove. I was almost done and realized a part was missing so I contacted Overstock. They have now told me they can’t send me the part that was missing and I can return item for refund or replacement. I CANT PHYSICALLY DISASSEMBLE THIS RACK. So there is no way to return it. And if they can replace the rack why can’t they give me missing part. So I’m just out of the money I spent and now have a rack I have to dispose of that is huge. Also I tried to put a review on Overstock.com and they denied it!! They said they denied it and wouldn’t post it because it had to do with shipping!?! No it has to do with you sent me an item with a missing part and now you refuse to send me part.
