This was my first purchase on Overstock. I called because I had not yet received my order but I noticed that the product that I purchased was currently over $100 cheaper than when I placed the order. I asked for a price adjustment which every store and website always does, but the representative said that she could not because that was not on option on Overstock's system. I was placed on hold and when the representative came back on she again said that there was nothing she could do. I have read many online reviews and there are countless reviews of customers having issues with return charges, refunds and customer service. I will NEVER purchase anything from this website, and I know that Overstock could not care less about it. In todays economy, you should go above and beyond to take care of your customers.

Ordered a rug, it came uneven and coarse, so I tried to process a return. I paid $85 for the item, and the return fee was $140. More to return the item them to purchase. They are predatory in that they provide comfort with a “lenient return policy” but don’t tell you in the beginning that their return costs are so astronomical that they are pointless, and basically don’t offer returns. Wouldn’t buy from them again

I’d give it a negative if I could. Bought two rugs and sent one back as it didn’t fit the space, they charged me 39 dollars to return. It’s not clear what they are charging you to return. That was the cost of the rug. It makes zero sense. What a scam.

I am not sure why I have to fill out a bunch of forms to delete my account with them? Most companies have a button you push to delete account. I want to delete my account as I had ordered one thing from them and got the wrong color, no biggie its just a Nalgene bottle, but it actually ended costing more than elsewhere, my bad. Plus, it took so long and they won't let your track package with out being taken to even more popups and coupons, or it reverts you back to shopping part of the site! SOOOO deceptive! You can't navigate the site without being directed to buy some membership, or thats already in your basket so you accidently purchase along with you other things! Plus it had so many bad reviews, so I decided I'd had enough, and the process to delete account is just as horrible! Plus, the text customer service is a little cagey, they seemed nice but I was ghosted a few times and they didnt answer some of my questions and I had to reconnect and ask the questions all over again. I gave up after a bit, had enough, I just will wait to see if my account is truely deleted and my bank info isn't squirreled away somewhere, as the account section is really weird and disfunctional, and I couldnt find anywhere where itshows if my credit card number is saved somewhere! Validating my justification to remove myself from this place!! AVOID THIS PLACE if you like your sanity!!

Sadly I can’t rate them negative. Renovating a house and bought many items. The first we opened was a foyer fan with light kit. Too bad no kit. Returned it and checked the only box slightly applicable and paid $22.28 for a return label but in the comments gave my explanation and said I should not be charged for their error. Received a notice today that I got my refund - minus $50+!!! I spent 30 + minutes on live chat only to be told “too bad” in so many words. Nice rep (Hunter) but too bad. Not explanation why they charged me $30+ for the prior discount. WHAT??? After reviewing these reviews how are they able to be in business??? Never again. And I will definitely dispute the charge. Thieves.

One of the worst. All they’re missing are a mask and a gun. Spent over $200 on a combination ceiling fan and lights combined except they neglected to include the lights. Sent fan back and they charged $50 even though it was their error. AVOID..

Like many here have said, Overstock likes to charge exorbitant fees for returns and make it a game to tell you they "try" to cancel your order before shipping takes place. Here's my tale of woe: I ordered an air fryer and immediately cancelled the order to buy a larger one. I got the message they would "try" to cancel my order per my request. Two days later, the order ships! In two days they apparently did not have the ability to cancel my order! Three days after that, I receive 2 air fryers and have to spend 23 bucks to send the cancelled one back. I'm convinced they do this on purpose.

I have not made a purchase from overstock.com since Nov. 2021. They recently pulled my credit card information from that order and charged me for a ClubO membership without any authorization. They claim they will reverse the charges, but I am FURIOUS. This is so unethical--what gives them the right to store my credit card info from a purchase almost 18 months ago? DO NOT TRUST THEM.
