OtoFix is scam. The positive reviews has to be from fairly new OtoFix owners. Research further into it. Once these tablets 6 month to a year old they start having the power issues where the tablet won’t turn on. If you try to contact OtoFix they will tell you to contact the seller that sold you the junk scanner. In the end you will be sent on a wild goose chase with nothing ever being resolved. OtoFix knows about their scanners power issue and they does not try resolve the issue. They just hope it last longer then the year warranty. After they discover you are past one year, they will have nothing to do with you. Research further than new scanner owners and the reviewers that are paid to review items. Those scanners are junk and they know it. That’s probably why Autel started the new company for this junk instead of throwing it in their lineup. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM.

Device was excellent while it worked. Powering on is an issue that seems ongoing with this company. I purchased this device under the assumption that I was receiving a 5 year warranty like the listing on eBay Store Motor_tool stated. I had problems getting this device to power on from the very beginning. I thought it was a human error. Lo and behold I was wrong. When my d1 lite finally wouldn’t power on again, I contacted OtoFix and they pushed my problem off to the seller who sold the device to me. I mentioned the listing said 5 year warranty and they stated so sorry the one year warranty is up. That is not what the listing stated, and they did not care. Horrible customer service. OtoFix just pawns you off to the next guy (the seller). What a terrible company with terrible customer service.

I'm truly disgusted by this business idea behind the OTOFIX SCAM TOOLS! Let me tell you what you should know before you fall for the OTOFIX SCAM TRAP! You read the advertisement and based on that you may think you get a great deal for the money. NO YOU DON'T! AS SOON AS YOUR UPDATE PERIOD EXPIRES THEY DISABLED MANNY FUNCTIONS MAKING THE EXPENSIVE SCAM TOOL DEVICE WORTHLESS AND IF YOU WANT TO CONTINUE USING THE TOOL YOU HAVE TO PAY UPP 800+ $ !!! Don't get me wrong! im ok with update fees but taking away something i paid for is unacceptable !!! NOWER IN THE ADVERTISEMENT SAID THAT YOU WILL TAKE AWAY FUNCTIONS THAT YOU USED TO SELL THE SCAM DEVICE !!! I WANT MY MONEY BACK! Yes OTOFIX SCAM TOOLS ! You are right mi mistake it is not 800+ it is 898,75 $ so i guess it's 900! What a joke!

"**BEWARE**" DON'T BUY OTOFIX / AUTEL*** The battery conveniently fails just after 2 year warranty. Its impossible to get a replacement.. When i contacted them about this, they said sorry this battery is not available to buy.. They have a battery specifically made for the D1 lite, and they won't let you buy one. This is a scam so your diagnostic becomes scrap.... AVOID. **UPDATE** in response to Otofix /Autels comment about reaching out to them. I contacted them before leaving any review, and they didn't offer any help. As for the battery being "sealed for my safety" Lol. Technically all batteries are sealed. The otofix battery is no different to any other battery you'll find in other tablets or mobile phones. It's easily removable and has a single wire that simply clips on and off the circuit board. They just choose to not make them available. Forcing you into having to buy a new diagnostic. OTOFIX / AUTEL DON'T OFFER ANY HELP... ***AVOID****

It worked as good as any other scanner, but when it broke and stopped working I realized the warranty is a joke. The whole process was unprofessional, and at the end they told me to send it for repair to China even though I bough it from US distributor. The shipping cost would be more expensive than the purchase price. They shouldn't advertise any warranty if their warranty is more expensive than purchasing new scan tool. I had a LAUNCH scan tool for many years and never had a single issue with it or their customer care. Since this OTOFIX device didn't last even one year and their warranty is a scam, I'm going to purchase LAUNCH again.

I received the tool and it works well, however don't ever hope to get any help with it. My grandson used it and lost the charger, I emailed them to get a new one and never heard a word from them. Then the auto update feature stopped working. Again I emailed them for assistance (2 months ago now) and have not heard a word from them. Tool is good but service is non existent.

I ordered a scanner, but after three weeks nothing has arrived. The seller has not responded to any messages, and the tracking number has not shown any updates during this time. Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend purchasing from this seller.AVOID ,SCAM
