Nice light; messy installation
For me this was too time-consuming and messy to install. Unless you are installing a single LED bar, you will end up with multiple wires that need to be plugged into the power source. I had expected the bars to be chain-linked, a single wire connecting one bar to the next, not each bar wired separately. If you have flat bottomed cabinets as I do, there is nowhere to hide all those wires. I also have a 4-foot window between my cabinets and all those wires must be hidden under, around, or somewhere on that window. Impossible. When I went on chat, I was told that installation was "straightforward". Yes, multiple wires fed into the power source, but this was not the information I wanted to hear. When I asked how I could eliminate all those wires I was told that I could solder the bars together. Huh? That is no solution because I need multiple bars. This is a design issue. Moreover, no information is included with the kit. Why not a sheet written in English that identifies the items along with their function? You find yourself looking at two white boxes and have no idea what either of them is for. There are only Chinese characters on them. I don't read Chinese. Then there are the domino-sized boxes with wires sticking out of either end. What are they and where do they go? Some instructions would be useful as well. I am so disappointed. I was really impressed with these lights until I tried to install them. Update: Orbisify Support called to assist me with the installation and kept in touch via several emails to answer my questions. Unfortunately, that was not enough to get the job done. Because of the configuration of my kitchen, I need more wire, longer wire than the installation kit includes, longer than the wire that is permanently attached to the light bars. Currently, there are no accessory extensions available to add length. To add length to the permanent wires, I would need to splice and solder. I did not want to tackle that job, nor did I want to hire an electrician to do it. Again, this is a design issue. On the positive side, I do appreciate Support's efforts. I wish it would have worked out. I plugged in one of the bars to see what the 2700k lighting would have looked like. It's really nice. Depending on the layout of your kitchen, or if you are just adding lights to shelving, the standard kit may work seamlessly for you and you will love these lights. They simply didn’t work out for me. Note that because of Orbisify Support I revised my review and changed my rating from one star to two. I cannot rate higher because the design of this product needs serious improvement.
