Sold me a vehicle in bad shape after telling me everything was in working order. Parts of the RV were actually taped together and fell apart shortly after I purchased it. Their mechanics don't fix things, they patch them up.
Dan and Monte have very nice personalities but unfortunately they are selling products that are very defective.

LIARS & SCAMMERS
Last year I purchased an RV from Optimum RV. Got it for $8k. Me, not being familiar with a lot that has to do with RVs, laws, etc. I thought, "Hey, that's a pretty good deal." Plus, I was going through something very stressful and personal last year. Come to find out (one week after purchase the A/C went out and I ordered a new one, had a mobile tech come to my property), the roof SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED BECAUSE IT'S SO VERY BAD. All this things I learned along the way. Optimum RV in Ocala has a VERY BAD HABIT of doing this to cash payers. According to FL law, if a unit is "unsafe" the person/company selling said unit MUST disclose this problem(s) to the potential buyer. If there is something that affects the unit's value, this MUST be disclosed to the potential buyer. There is more to the FL AS/IS law, but I think this is enough for right now. So, the roof is so damaged that if a big branch (or snow, to say as an example, because my plan was to take it up north and live close to my twin sister, get a job and get back on my feet) fell on the roof, it would definitely go through. I also have video of the mobile tech carefully walking on the roof revealing all the damage that was with the roof in question. One of the other things (besides the A/C): the toilet is now falling down towards the ground because the bathroom flooring has intense water damage around said toilet. Just so anyone is aware, I have NEVER used the RV for what I needed it for. I parked it on my property and left it as it is because I cannot afford to fix the roof (& possible water damage inside the walls) or the flooring in the bathroom. They knew all of this before selling it to me because it was a trade-in from someone wanting a new camper. They do a pre-insoection and a post (pre-delivery) inspection. I also have picture copies of an email sent from a manager to other relevant employees stating in it that they were well aware of the problems and NOT to fix them since I wanted the unit "RIGHT NOW". Which is completely false. I would have waited to have these problems fixed because it would affect the safety of the unit and MY SAFETY!
RUN AWAY!! Find someone else to buy a camper from. **they have you sign a mediation/arbitration contract before the exchange is done** WHY? Because of their unlawful/crappy practices.

A $1k deposit they kept knowing they shouldn’t means a lot
We left a $1,000 deposit on a 5th wheel RV on July 4th, 2025. It was conditioned on our gaining the approval of the mobile home park where we had a seasonal site since 2009. Before we even got that far, the salesman called us to let us know that it had more items in need of repair than they first realized. It literally had just come in as a trade in. No final decision was reached in terms of our still purchasing or declining, pending their detailed inspection.
About a week later, they called back to say another party was looking to purchase it, and they asked for a decision. We declined, freeing up the RV for purchase by another party. The salesman told us they would mail a refund of our deposit.
Life moves on. A couple of months later we realized no check was received. That started a long series of phone calls that went on until the end of the year. The salesman was no longer there, but I was only told that after leaving multiple messages on his old extension.
I then moved up to the ‘new’ general manager. He apologized profusely and promised to get back to me. Two weeks later, I called again. Another week before he’d call back. Just to confirm he had all the info correct. He did. He promised to send it off to corporate and I’d get a refund in a week or two.
A month later, I called him again. And for about 6 weeks in a row. He was either on the phone according to the auto phone system or it allowed me to leave a message.
Halfway through that, I tried to find the corporate HQ. The website gave the history, where it started, and their pride in returning customers. No mention of a corporate office, so I called the location of the first dealership. The operator told me there was no corporate office. Well, was there a central accounting office? She wasn’t aware of one. And suggested I call the manager at the Pottstown location as he was ‘new’ and cleaning up a mess. I didn’t have the patience to explain he was the one I had been talking with for months. The one who told me he sent the info to the corporate office. I left him a few more messages. Never a call back. I thought of just driving to the dealership and sitting in the office until I got a check. But I figured the frustration had already shaved some days off my life timeline, worth far more than 10 Benjamins.
When I went to see if they were BBB, I found a plethora of reviews here and elsewhere saying ‘run. Don’t walk away from this dealership. Problems in all areas. Prices changing, rigs not up to promised standards, refunds not paid. The Pottstown location is an outlier in terms of where Optimum has dealers. And they have quite a few. But that shouldn’t matter, and it seems the reviews applied across all locations.
It’s sad when companies don’t care about ethical practices.its still a ‘family owned’ business, and having worked for a couple of family owned companies I can attest that they believe they are the smartest people in the room. Every room. And they mostly don’t care much about the people that earn their living under them. Kiss their ass and tell them what you know they’ll wanna hear, and they gush about how fantastic they are.
It really is sad. But in our capitalist economy, Caveat Emptor is the cardinal theorem. Let the buyer beware. A thousand bucks ain’t much to them. Won’t make a difference in the high end car they’ll buy or the boat they’ll sail in, or if they’ll have Salisbury steak tonight or filet mignon with a lobster tail side. But it means a huge deal to many who go paycheck to paycheck putting food on the table or paying the rent. Had they promptly refunded the money, which would’ve been the right thing -and legal thing- to do, I might have gone back when we’re ready for a newer model, AND I would’ve taken the time to write a positive review. To add to my Google review collection! This is a business looking to scrape every nickel and dime (no more Lincoln Pennies after all!). And when they’ve grabbed those coins they’ll look for shady ways to screw the people who are customers and potential customers.
I believe in karma. We accrue good and bad karma in the ways we live our lives and at the end we tally up with the universe. I’m firmly convinced that there is a penalty for those who present with the bad outweighing the good will have some ‘splaining to do. Optimum RV is a poorly run chain with no ethics. Stay away. Stay far, far away!

After choosing a class A motorhome and…
After choosing a class A motorhome and working out a deal to purchase the unit with trade I called my sales person Mandy to arrange the paperwork. I was able to obtain financing for the agreed price through my credit union only to be told that the "big boss" has decided the price was too low and were going to raise the price of the RV $25,000. I was then told by Mandy that the old manager was a drunk and didn't know what he was doing.
When I confronted her about honoring our previous agreement to purchase the RV she said there is nothing I can do!!
Needless to say I will not be purchasing my RV from Optimum. It seems you and your staff couldn't care less about a customer with $$ ready to buy.

Absolutely poor communication
Very disappointed with the communication from this dealership. I was actively working with a salesperson on purchasing an RV and had been going back and forth on the numbers. I was told there was “great news” and that I would be contacted, and then the communication simply stopped.
I understand that sometimes a buyer and dealership are too far apart on numbers and a deal just isn’t going to work. That’s part of buying a vehicle. What I don’t understand is completely ignoring a customer instead of taking two minutes to call or text and say, “We can’t get to your numbers.”
What made it even more frustrating was that I submitted another inquiry on the same RV and was immediately contacted by someone else wanting to earn my business. So clearly the dealership was still interested in selling the coach.
I wasn’t expecting them to accept an offer they couldn’t make work. I was expecting the common courtesy of a response after spending time negotiating and showing serious interest in purchasing the RV.
A simple phone call or text would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, being left hanging after being told there was “great news” has made this a very frustrating experience

Terrible company to deal with
Terrible company to deal with, no communication, don't follow through on transactions. I would never recommend anyone doing business with them.
