I bought a Red Top battery on February 14, 2026. The battery is six and a half months old and doesn't work; it loses its charge within a few hours. I contacted them, but they refuse to take responsibility. This Optima battery company is the absolute worst—I do not recommend them at all. Please be careful; they are a scam. They won't help you in any way. Be cautious.

3 year old group 26 optima red top battery went bad even though it was kept inside heated garage at all times with a plugged in Schumacher battery tender when the napa battery used before it lasted 8 years and a friend of mine had his Napa battery last 13 years, and to make matters worse I have four top of the line 2 yellow top and 2 blue top battery's. In my boat less then 3 years old and the 2 yellow tops are starting to fail that's a total of over a thousand dollars in batterys ,junk! run!I'll only buy Napa battery's from NOW ON JIM D

My Optima Yellow Top battery, which was installed in my Fendt caravan at the factory, failed after 26 months and needs to be replaced. Optima advertises a 36-month replacement warranty. Despite the efforts of the Fendt dealer, Optima/Varta has refused to honor the warranty. Meine Optima Yellow Top Batterie, ab Werk eingebaut in einem Fendt Wohnwagen, ist nach 26 Monaten defekt und muss ausgetauscht werden. Optima wirbt mit einer Austausch-Garantie von 36 Monaten. Trotz Bemühungen des Fendt-Händlers wird eine Garantie-Leistung von Optima/Varta abgelehnt.

Optima Red Top batterier som ble produsert i (mrk.) California på nittitallet er verdens beste startbatteri. Mitt Red Top batteri er nå 25 år gammelt og som nytt. Men det har fått juling. Hvis det har stått ubrukt i lang tid trenger det bare noen få minutters lading og det våkner til liv. Det er alltid klar til bruk. Mitt Red Top batteri brukes som starthjelp til å starte bilen når bilens startbatteri har gitt opp. Mitt Red Top er et mirakel.

Purchased a red top Optima battery 2 years ago. The battery performed as a battery should for about 18 months. Now the battery only holds enough charge for 2-3 days to start my car. I have checked everything on my car related to battery performance. This battery is junk, doesn't cost like junk, its junk. Placed the battery in another vehicle just to see how it performed. The results were the same. Will not purchase another or recommend it to anyone.

I just wanted to say these are the best batteries I've ever purchased. Have 3 31 blue tops that are 6 years old and still going strong thanks for a great product.

I am the happy owner of an Optima Yellowtop battery. It would be nice to know if other consumers were as satisfied as I am.
