The only thing somewhere far I don't like is, you don't let people know they have overvdraft protection if they don't want it. So merchant take from your account that they don't have permission or unauthorized. Then I call your customer care and they tell me I have to turn that feature off after being charged a healthy fee. Not right.

We appreciate your feedback regarding the overdraft service and understand your concern about being charged unexpected fees. The Overdraft Privilege service strives to pay checks and automatic bill payments when funds are not available. For consumers, this service is only extended to ATM and everyday debit card transactions if you explicitly provide consent (opt-in). If you were charged a fee, it was likely an Insufficient Funds Charge or Uncollected Funds Charge. You have the option to Opt Out of Overdraft Privilege (our standard overdraft service) at any time. To opt out, you can call us at 877-663-8648. Opting out means all items presented against insufficient funds will be returned unpaid, which will result in an Insufficient Funds Charge. Please review the Deposit Account Agreement and Disclosure for more information. https://www.oneunited.com/core/content/uploads/2025/09/Deposit-Account-Agreement-Disclosure.pdf
