Release my funds
I have yet to receive an email or phone call I done my application on January 30th 2026 they took the $50 and holding it for 2 days and I guess them days haven’t came yet. I just want them to release my funds and I’ll stick with the bank I have. Wanted to try something different and this is the treatment that I get, also I forgot to mention when I go to the website and chat with the bot it only ask for your birthday last four of social and I believe the address of something but after that it’s nothing so it’s literally no help at all. Can’t get through to them on the phone when you press 1 to receive a call back but keep your spot I never received that call so is this bank a scam or something. PISSED

Thank you for your feedback. When you authorized your opening deposit, the funds were placed on a temporary authorization hold while we reviewed your application. If an application is not approved, we immediately cancel the authorization so your full deposit can be released. However, your bank may take a few days to remove the hold. You can contact your bank to help speed up the release of your funds.

The bank is trash
The bank is trash . Going back to normal bank. It's not interested in protecting clients funds and they don't care about us. I can do better. Black people beware it's not worth the energy

Per our Deposit Account Agreement, the Bank reserves the right to close a customer’s deposit account or terminate associated services at any time, without advance notice. If you choose to close the account yourself, the most efficient method is to withdraw the remaining balance via ATM, debit card, or our online funds transfer service. Once the balance reaches zero and all pending transactions have posted, you may contact us to finalize the closure.

This bank is HORRIBLE
This bank is HORRIBLE! I would not recommend you banking with them and please don’t sign up for direct deposit. I wanted to support them, BIG mistake. I just decided to try them out with a small deposit. I NEVER received my debit card which they boasted about. I closed out my account and still haven’t received my money. I did receive a letter stating I closed my account. Why not include my check in there? This bank is a joke and should be shut down immediately!

You can activate this for mobile wallets (Apple/Google Pay) via the OneUnited Bank app. This digital version is active for 21 days. Standard Mail: Physical cards typically arrive within 7–10 business days (up to 14 days maximum). OneUnited Bank is a good bank
OneUnited Bank is a good bank, but it has so many high fees. If your account goes negative, they don’t give you a day or two to pay before they charge you $37

Refused to reimburse me my money in a timely matter
I WILL NOT BANKING WITH THIS BANK EVER AGAIN ITS A JOKE NOT HELPFUL AT ALL MY CARD WAS STOLEN WHICH PUT ME IN THE NEGATIVE HAD A DIRECT DEPOSIT THE NEXT DAY AND WAS TOLD IT WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT REMEBUSING ME MY MONEY THE LADY WAS RUDE IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE A BLACK BANK BUT DO YA'LL REALLY HELP THE BLACK PEOPLE ALSO THEY SHOULD HAVE RULE THAT BEFORE THEY CHARGE YOU 37.00 OVERDRAFT FEE AT LEAST BE 50.00 DOLLARS OVER DRAFT NOT A 1 AS SOON AS I'M DONE WITH THIS MATTER I'M GOING BACK TO CHASE

At OneUnited Bank, once a new card is ordered, a digital version is typically issued within 24 hours so you may continue making purchases while waiting for your physical card. Per our established terms and conditions, if you suspect an error or unauthorized transfer, the bank generally has 10 business days to investigate the claim and determine if an error occurred. If we require more time, we may take up to 45 days (or up to 90 days for new accounts or foreign-initiated transactions), but we will provisionally credit your account within 10 business days for the amount in question while we complete our review.

One United Bank needs a lot of improvement for new customers
Unfortunately, I am impressed with One United Bank I applied for their secured credit card not only was I'm denied I didn't receive any notification via email. J had to go on their website, which can be confusing and check the status Also, I was sent a message stating that my deposit was immediately refunded Which was a lie I spoke with my bank, and I was told that they are waiting for one United bank to release my funds. Because as of now my account is in the negative because one United I was in the process of ordering checks online for my new checking account, with one united.Mind you I wasn't told that I couldn't order checks by the rep from one United Matter of fact I was told the opposite go online and order checks myself Long story short the system wouldn't process my order because I have to request assistance from a one United representative

Patronizing Doesn't Always Workout!!!
I waited over 30 days to receive my debt card. I had to call to enquire about the debit card. Waited until they sent another card. Then it takes 3 plus days to send money from One United to another bank. On top of waiting 3 days, One United charges $1 fee to do so.

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify It takes 7 to 10 business days to receive your debit card. All customers can access their digital card with in 24 hours of their new card order. There also multiple free ways for customers to move money in and out their account. Such as our surcharge free atms, funds transfer, and money moves for non instant deposits.

Terrible bank
Terrible bank, awful customer service, you can barely access your money. I closed my account w them and it took over a month to get the check and clear. No one working there knows anything, they transfer you to another person who knows nothing. It’s just bad and sadly so unorganized
