I have been travelling overseas frequently and decided that, instead of family members send me a text message, I would like to hear their voices, important because you can hear emotions (happy, sad, neutral, etc.) when they speak compared to reading messages. Hence, I bought the OneSimCard to discover whether the service is superb as its company promotes. Using the sim card through two weeks in two Asian countries, I am convinced OneSimCard is a wonderful service for people wishing to travel internationally and remain in communication with loved ones abroad. My family members' voices were clear, as if they were speaking to me locally. The voice and message service costs were markedly lower compared to using my local mobile operator overseas. I was able to add credit in USD 25.00 increments. Please understand that I am using the service for the first time; but so far, I was so satisfied with the service that it will be the only one utilized when travelling outside the country in which I live. One concern is the slowness (about 10 minutes) with which the sim takes to discover a mobile phone operator in a country, but my mobile phone could be the problem. Otherwise, OneSimCard is highly recommend and worth the five star rating.

I read the good and bad reviews of this product but thought I'd give it a try. I'm currently vacationing, going to three different countries (Spain, Ireland, and Iceland) and wanted a single number so family could get in contact with me, or in case of emergency. However, the phone service is completely unreliable. Calls are not always completed, and when they are, not always do both parties hear the other, leaving you no choice but to dial again. The calling over WIFI app, in my experience, is totally useless. The text messaging does not work. It says it sends the messages, and the company insists they have been sent, but NONE of the people I've sent messages to have received them. They will not credit me for unreceived texts, and also not for the test messages I have sent for them to diagnose the problem. After 2 days, they have said the techs are working on it and will get back to me, but have no solutions. They said they are subject to local phone company repair queues, and now I am in another country having the same problems. Texting is the most cost effective way to use their service. The data did not work for several days either. I spend several tech sessions over 3 days to solve the problem, and that connected with WIFI in my hotel. I'm supposed to be on vacation, not on tech support. Another important fact: you can only add usage credit to your account in $50 increments. I spent well over $100, buying the sim card, adding $50 in phone/data usage credit, and registering a local US number for longer than a few weeks (they activate the free window when they ship your package, not when you activate your card). Don't waste your time and money with this company. Buy a local SIM card or stick to connecting over WIFI only. That has been my go to for getting in touch with anyone, including OneSim tech support. *****update***** I read the reply below, but the actual customer technical support has been unable to resolve my texts not working. It's been 5 days, and whenever I ask if they have any new suggestions, they just say the technicians are looking into it. I've given up trying to solve the issue and am buying a local SIM for the next leg of my trip. Not worth wasting any more vacation time on this company. They resolved my data issues after 3 days of back and forth emailing and phone calls. Again, that's a lot of wasted time when you're on vacation. I have not had luck with the calling over WIFI app. I tried it again this evening with a strong signal and had intermittent silent periods where I could not hear the other caller, mixed with other periods where the voices sounded like a garbled robot. As far as the $25 increments, thats news to me. When I bought the card a few months ago, it was only available in $50 increments.

I'm a novice when it comes to all this cellular stuff. OneSimCard has made it easy enough, even for me. Great videos to explain the whole process. I would definitely recommend.

Used the service for the last 8-9 years. Great trustful international service! Defiantly recommend to everybody who travel a lot.

This works well if you will be going to several different countries, it gives you the convenience of not having to buy individual SIM cards from each country. There are lots of details and complicated things you need to know to use this system so make sure you read all the details or you may end up wasting money. Make sure to turn off cellular data on your phone if you are in countries or layovers that have high internet rates, just running your phone on free wifi may use up your data plan because some of your phone apps will draw from this data fund. My son used up $44 on 14 MB unknowingly when his iphone app utilized his onesimcard data plan while he was using free wifi in Qatar on a layover. Qatar's onesimcard data rates are about $3.44 per MB!!!! So read all the fineprint before you start using this service.

OneSimCard is a great idea! It is very easy to set up and use. I would recommend it to anyone!
