They are more expensive than in-country sim cards and when you want to leave they keep your unused funds. Very disappointed.

Hello Dianne, Thank you for your feedback! We always strive to provide our customers the lowest possible rates. OneSimCard customers enjoy tremendous savings in comparison with what their local carriers are able to offer them for International roaming. To prevent expiration of funds, you may choose to add a minimum recharge amount to extend the overall balance for another 10 months. Here is our full Expiration policy: OneSimCard SIM balance is valid for 10 months after the last recharge and will roll over to the next 10 month period with each recharge. When the balance expire, the SIM will stay active and could be used again by adding money to the SIM balance. The SIM phone number is valid for 2 years after the last outgoing call and extends for 2 years with each outgoing voice call made from the OneSimCard phone. You can see Terms and Conditions here: http://www.onesimcard.com/terms-of-use/ Thank you, OneSimCard

My daughter used it for traveling over seas. The setup wasn't simple although the instructions were good. It really has to be setup when you have wifi available. I wasn't thrilled with the "package" based pricing and then buying time in chunks. I would have rather been billed monthly based on actual usage. To complicate matters the prices and usage were different in each country. Since it varies by country how much it costs, trying to keep a balance while not buying to much was a pain. In the end we got stuck with extra minutes we may never use. I liked it since I knew she'd have a working phone where ever she went. She would have rather just bough a sim in each country she was in. I think if you are only going to a few countries in Europe it would be good. If you are traveling through 15 countries on 4 continents it is a big variable.

Great way to use your cellphone overseas. Price is relatively reasonable. Method to recharge is a bit "clunky" and not so easy when you're travelling.

My wife and I have previously lived on a cruising sailboat for 6 years and currently full-time in a motorhome. While OneSim has higher rates then 'local' sims, it is a stop-gap when you first arrive somewhere. And if your only 'passing through' it is way more economical. We currently have two sims, a U.S. based T-Mobile sim and OneSim. Since OneSim roams on all availible networks, we find that when our primary cell has no service, we can still communicate with OeSim. We also use the PEN feature to have a U.S. number so that people (and our daughter in New Zealand) can call us without paying international rates. Overall, OneSim just makes traveling way less stressful.
