They drained my $2,500 coverage with useless repair visits and left me with $125
Our refrigerator went out about a month ago. We have a OneGuard home warranty that supposedly covers $2,500 for appliance repair or replacement. Here is what actually happened. They sent out a repair company. That company charged OneGuard $1,000 — and fixed NOTHING. Then OneGuard sent a second company for a "second opinion." That one charged them over $1,000 — and also fixed NOTHING. This back-and-forth dragged on for THREE WEEKS. Three weeks with no working refrigerator in our house. They did not care. Meanwhile the dying fridge was running nonstop and driving up our electric bill. Yesterday the last technician finally admitted what we knew from day one: the refrigerator is broken and cannot be fixed. So we asked for the replacement coverage. Their answer? There is only $125.37 left of our $2,500. Let that sink in. Nearly every dollar of our coverage was burned paying no-name contractors to come out and do nothing to our fridge. By the time anyone admitted it could not be fixed, there was nothing left to replace it with. This is how the scam works: they do not deny your claim, they just bleed your coverage dry with pointless service calls until there is nothing left to pay you. Do NOT trust OneGuard with your appliances. You will pay for a warranty that protects no one but them.
