I run/own a small custom gun shop that specializes in building ARs, bolt actions, shotguns, and 1911s. We also do gun smithing, cerakoting, and cleaning. I’ve been looking for something to expedite cleaning for some time now and had been toying with the idea of getting an UltraSonic cleaner. I looked at Hornady and some other small machines, some manufactured from overseas, and in my search came across Omegasonics website. I contacted them and received a 1420 Digital Benchtop machine to try out for 30 days. After the super easy setup and prep, I began testing what this machine could do, not really knowing what to expect. I put in a pistol that had been left out in a cow pasture for several weeks during heavy rains by a customer. Needless to say it was insanely muddy, grimy, corroded and rusted. I figured this would be the perfect test gun. I did a basic field stripping, let the parts soak for about 5 minutes in the 165 degree solution and then cranked on the machine (BTW it only took about 2 hours to initially heat solution to 165 degrees in a 14 gallon tank!! That's impressive).  Ran the machine for 5 minutes initially and did a spot check to see how everything looked. I was really amazed at the amount of gunk that had be removed in only 5 minutes. I ran it for another 5 minutes and when I removed the parts, most of them looked brand new! I was stunned!! Areas that would have taken me a long time to clean, gummed up fire control, internal slide parts and cavities were all spotless!! Places I could not reach! I could not believe it. There were a few heavily rusted parts that had some of the surface rust removed; minor surface rust was completely removed; and all the grime and mud that was caked EVERYWHERE internally and externally was completely gone. Even inside the firing pin hole. All of that had been cleaned. What would’ve taken me a few hours to clean by hand, took 15 minutes tops! I am a firm believer and would DEFINITELY recommend Omegsonics to anyone!! Completely amazed and impressed. I don’t need 30 days to make a decision! SOLD!
