He obtained his Ph.D. in Human Nutrition from the University of Minnesota and did post-doctoral fellowships in Clinical Nutrition and Lipid Metabolism with Dr. Bill Connor at the Oregon Health Sciences University. His interest in omega-3 fatty acids began with his postdoctoral work when he published his first study on the effects of salmon oil on serum lipids in humans (1980). This is the first time I've used Omega Quant to measure my Omega 3 and 6 levels, and I was so pleased with the process and results that I plan to routinely retest in the future using the same type of kit (Omega-3 Index Complete Test). Since I eat a plant based diet and supplement with DHA/EPA, I was curious whether my Omega-3 levels were deficient. The process of submitting my sample was quick and easy, and I received the results within 2 weeks as promised. The report was easy to interpret, and I especially appreciated the supplemental information provided with the report and on the company's website. In my opinion Omega-3 levels are a crucial indicator of our health, and I recommend everyone use Omega Quant to find out your Omega-3 index and then adjust your diet and supplements if needed. This is an excellent product, worth the cost, and very easy to use and interpret your results.
