Ofra products used to be vegan
Ofra products used to be vegan. I reached out to customer service about this; I asked if any products were vegan or contained no animal products. Ariela didn’t answer my question, and I submitted another question hoping for a different rep. I was routed to the Ariela again; she closed the ticket without an answer. It’s really sad to see a company like this; their customer service used to be great and helpful. After I submitted this, I received an email “ Hi Aly, No, Neptune does not contain any animal-derived ingredients. OFRA is a cruelty-free company! You can always review the ingredients listed under the product description to confirm the ingredients for yourself for any of our products. Please let me know if you have any other questions! Kind regards, OFRA Support Team Ariela” I asked about the ingredients because some of them listed on the website can be animal derived ingredients. (Ofra doesn’t disclose whether plant or animal derived on their website.) Cruelty-free brands do not test their products or ingredients on animals at any stage of production. This doesn’t mean they are without animal derived ingredients… I feel like the rep just did a “check the website next time” without understanding the website doesn’t clarify. She doesn’t understand what cruelty free actually means either, which makes me wonder if she’s correct about the ingredients.
