The staff was very helpful and understanding

My rabbit DIED in their care during a regular spaying. From the start I should have known better than to go here. When I first needed to make an appointment I had to call 3-4 times and leave a message for the manager (who never called me back). Then once I actually got the appointment they called me about an hour before the appointment because the surgeon called in sick. Then once I actually brought her there all they did was weigh her, check her (to make sure she was a girl) then took her away. No exam infront of me didn't ask me any questions about her, nothing. Later on that day I got a call asking if I consent to cpr then a call saying she passed. They gave me my money back and paid for her cremation. I got to say goodbye to my baby and the only explanation I got was that she was fine after surgery but 2 hours after her temperature dropped then she died. I asked if she was monitored at all and they told me she was she was next to a dog in critical condition during recovery so there had to be staff around her. I had a woman from the NJ House Rabbit Society follow up with them and the story they gave her was COMPLETLY different than what I was told. They told her she passed due to her bleeding more than usual. If she bled more than usual then STOP the surgery and save the life of my bunny or watch her closer during recovery. I believe they did not tell me the truth and she was not watched as well as they said she was. I got more sympathy and compassion from the woman at the House Rabbit Society than the office manager there. I'm sure this vet is more than fine with dogs and cats but if you have a small animal PLEASE don't go here for surgery. There are plenty of other specialists who give you more one on one care than here. I'm sure they did not mean to harm her in anyway but after reading all these negative reviews from small animal/exotic animal owners they probably shouldn't be working on small animals and just stick with dogs & cats. Not only is my family heartbroken but my other 6 year old rabbit is left without his partner.

My family just moved to Toms River from Central NJ, and we had an emergency with our 3 years old Olde English Bulldog, Benjamin the second day we were in our new home. He had caught his dewclaw in the deck, and it broke in half. Fischer Veterinary Hospital fit us in right away and had Benjamin's paw fixed within minutes. The vet's personal care and concern for our dog was so heart warming and they even called a few days later to check and see how he was feeling. We now bring our three dogs and hamsters to Fischer and couldn't be happier. All of the vets are knowledgeable, compassionate and truly care about not only our animals, but our entire family. I give them 5 stars and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great, trustworthy vet. The staff is also amazing from the front desk to all of the vet technicians. We look forward to bringing all of our fur family to them for many years to come! Thanks Fischer Vet! You guys are THE BEST!

They took great care of my lovebird, very professional and patient.

Loved everyone in the office they were so friendly.The doctor was very good with my two guinea pigs.I won't go any where else👍
