Dr. Briggs is the most caring vet we have been with and the staff is super professional. All locations are fantastic and very convenient

I brought both my cats in for their yearly rabies shots and well visit. We were placed in a room promptly and waited for Dr Briggs for only a short time. We have had our two cats in to see Dr. Briggs in the past and he has always shown the utmost in professionalism and knowledge. He listened carefully to our concerns and has always given useful information. I have every confidence in Dr. Briggs and the staff of OCVH.

We have been a client of Ocean County Veterinary Hospital for nearly 40 years. The cost of monthly preventative medications for our dog are completely 'out o sight'! Being retired and on a fixed income we are finding it necessary to seek alternative services and alternative meds for our pet.

For the most part the staff at OCVH are incredibly kind and caring. I had brought my kitten to the Jackson location multiple times for kitten care and always had a great experience. The only reason I have mixed feelings is that I had to bring my kitten in when he stopped eating and was vomiting. They took an X-ray and ultrasound and confirmed that he had an obstruction in his stomach. $2,500 later I found out that there was no obstruction and that the surgery was not needed. I wish more could have been done in ways of blood tests to see if he really had an obstruction or if it was slight inflammation of the gi tract and a very mild bout of pancreatitis (which is what he really had). They didn't run run blood tests before the surgery to see if there was an alternative and in the end the surgery was a hinder to my kittens recovery. They wanted me to keep him there for overnight fluids for two days but at this point I didn't have anymore money saved (they wanted another $700) and they don't even have anyone on staff from 10pm to 7am so if anything went wrong no one would be there to help. I decided to take the fluids, medications and my kitten home with me. It took a lot of tlc and some syringe feeding but he got better. I have been trying to contact them for some more information on aftercare but no one is getting back to me. I know they truly believed they saw an obstruction in his intestines but they misdiagnosed my kitten and didn't seem to blink an eye when I explained to them how upset I was that they had to cut my already sick cat open for no reason and then proceed to charge me full price. Pros: caring staff, great same day service Cons: misdiagnosis

I wholeheartedly highly recommend OCVH !! You won't find a more caring , compassionate or knowledgeable staff !!

Dr. Danowitz is a pleasure. He is always kind, friendly, and patient. I trust him 100% with my Labrador Retrievers.
