My dog has Pemphigus Foliaceous and after a year of steroid and multiple other drugs to combat the steroid side effects, he got worse. He had degenerative muscles, his sores were flaring, his ears inflamed, his personality changed and he started nipping at our other dog, he scrounged the house for food, peed in the house routinely, and could not drink enough water. I did not recognize him physically or in his personality. We felt like we spent most of our disposable income at the veterinarian's office. It was so sad and frustrating! My English setter had to have surgery when he was four and again five years later to remove tumors that were growing in his colon and causing blockages and bleeding. We knew going in she was not going to get all the root area of the growths. Less than two months after the latest surgery in February he started bleeding again with every BM. Seems to be really making a difference in both of our babies. We're hoping it will reduce or halt seizures in our big boy, but time will be the real test.
