My experience has been great with them. I have had 3 books published. At times communication is a little slow, but you have to respect that processing books take time and thing can get a little backed up due to work load. I appreciate everything that was done for me. The designs and layout have drawn much attention. I will be using this company for future books.

If you want to give your $$ away find a good place to donate. This was the worst worst experience ever. To say they aren't professional is true but I will say they are just out and out crooks. They give you a contract that says if you don't make the $ you pay them back in 6 months you can ask for a refund, and you can. You can ask but you will never get it. I even got a lawyer involved but they know your only option is small claims and there is no way to get the monies back in small claims. Please spare yourself heart break. Don't go near NYC Book Publishing. Wish I knew about Trues Pilot before I signed up.

The only thing I would give this company 5 stars for is for their communication during the payment phase. Everything else gets negative stars. They LIE LIE LIE. Lies about Barnes & Noble carrying my book. LIES about what they do to market my book. One lie after another constantly trying to upsell me. I should've known something was wrong when they said my memoir had Hollywood movie potential. It's 300 pages about lessons I learned buying a pontoon boat and restoring it so that I could journey into the swamps in Alabama to find the ivory billed woodpecker which the government says is extinct but like this company they are a bunch of LIARS and there's a conspiracy as to why they want people to think this bird is dead and started the birds aren't real conspiracy as a coverup to stop people like me from finding the truth but the only part I had done was the boat buying part and restoring the upholstery so it was ready for the ocean. They were supposed to help me with my manuscript. Come to find out they aren't even in the US. I found out I was being scammed and these are scammers from overseas and as soon as I called them out on it, they blocked my number and refuse to answer emails or refund me back for the thousands I spent.

I published my first book with NYC Book Publishers in December of 2025. They charged me about $1000 more than I was informed about when I agreed to use their publishing services. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They lied and defrauded me out of $10,050. They promised that my book would be published in Barnes and Noble bookstores, but I needed to pay for the printing. They added to the promise that I would get my investment back if it didn’t sell. I agreed. After three months they sent me a letter saying that I had sold 2500 copies through this process and that I’d receive royalties totaling over $26,000. They then encouraged me to do another printing, which I agreed for I had a letter promising me $26,000! That money was to arrive on January 13. No money came and then they informed me that Barnes and Noble had the issue and now my royalties would arrive in June. I contacted Barnes and Noble directly and they informed me that they are not carrying my book. NY Publishing lied to me, and I am getting this word out to every potential author! Jason Collins, Sr. Marketing & Publishing Consultan Sean Peterson, Publishing Consultant Eille Sotelo, Senior Project Manager Jason Colliins, Sr. Marketing & Publishing Consultant was my contact. He comports very professionally and with kindness and convinced me to pay for the printing of my books and take advantage of this “Barnes and Noble” opportunity. Sean Peterson, Publishing Consultant, took over the contact with me. As I wrote, I received a letter stating that I sold 2500 books and that’s when Sean convinced me to do a second printing for sale. His push came at the time I received their letter. Again, Jan. 13 came and went, and they blamed Barnes and Noble indicating that I’ll receive royalties in June. Ellie Sotelo reached out to me when I showed them my negative reviews of their company. She assured me that my royalties would come in June and that this was unprecedented. She promised some very promising marketing opportunities. But nothing materialized. They are dishonest and authors need to take their manuscripts elsewhere.

I could give it a negative 20 but it's not an option. It takes over 3 years to publish and they will make intentional mistakes just to pass off the author. They are scammers for all I know. You may reach me at Bearwithmeprojects at gmail.com. I'm sick and tired of their excuses and lies.

I have worked with this publisher since June 2025 to help me publish my book on Amazon. Although there were some good successes by Daniel and Kate, I haven't heard a response from them since January 29, 2026. Their website can no longer be found by Safari. Their phone number no longer works. Are they still in business?

It started great, I was excited to launch the second edition of my book! The goal was to add a new chapter, refresh and update the rest for a huge event launch. Daniel said, "no problem, it will be fine." But it wasn't, we missed the opportunity, he never apologized, never got on a call with me. He just continued to do what he needed to complete the project. Overall I found errors in formatting that delayed the project. The margins on the back, and the clarity of my cover was not like the original and I requested it be fixed. I requested a proper off-boarding meeting where I could receive all my final art work and manuscript. He said uploaded it to my amazon kdp, I am still waiting for the final cover art to be sent to me, along with PR offers he claimed to have to help promote the book. It never came. This process began in April and it's the end of August. Ultimately I got the book done but the experience was not great at all.

This was a terrible investment for my business. We purchased the Amazon best sellers package that was supposed to guarantee a certain sales amount, with the promise of achieving the amazon best sellers list within 3 months. I was kind enough to give them 4, and hardly any sales were made. The sales that were made were from my own personal marketing efforts made on the businesses tiktok page.
