NuVet customer for 13 years now. As a service, it’s been great. Easy to reach when there have been billing issues from credit cards expiring, etc. and they always resolve things quickly too. But we have no confidence in the product itself. Seems like snake oil for our dogs - the breeder we have gotten our Bernese Mountain Dogs from requires that we give the dog NuVet in order to have the benefit of their health guarantee which did prove useful with our first dog. Come to think of it. We could pay for NuVet and never give it to the dogs but we do look at it like a morning treat and have never noticed any harm done. Feels an awful lot like a way for breeders to get ongoing revenue for each pup sold as NuVet pays them referral fees. So know we have used the product for 13 years with two dogs and everything has been ok. Just think it would have been ok even without NuVet too.

My last two orders have been delayed to the point that I ran out of product. I am on a regular order cycle and their answer was I need to change the cycle to give more time for product to get to me. The reason for the delay was that they have a lot of orders and USPS was having problems. My most recent order has been reshipped but dont know when I will receive Almost a ten year customer, the least they could have done to prevent me from running out was to overnight another shipment to me. I guess I need to change my shipping cycle to give them time to process

Love the product. Hate the customer service and website. I've repeatedly asked to have my autoshipments delayed, and no one listens to my requests. I end up with too much product over and over again. Seriously wish I could get this from another source so I could better control my shipments. Considering cancelling my autoshipments. Response to NuVet 3/11/22: NuVet: quoting your response inline: "In fact, you have 3 options for managing your shipment intervals and dates: You can log in to our online portal for self service, you can call our Customer Service Department, or you can simply shoot us an email at ......" "You have actively used our online portal to manage your autoship since 2018. You made your last change in January of this year. We have also edited intervals and next ship dates for you as you have requested in emails several times." (PB) As you stated, I've contacted NuVet many times. Why? Because clients are NOT INFORMED of upcoming shipments via email. You simply receive, as a client, notification that you just paid for a shipment and it's on the way. NuVet is the ONLY vendor I purchase from that does NOT send email advance notice of upcoming shipments. That "my next shipment date" is printed on a small slip of paper included in my shipment is useless. In their time frame between shipments things can change drastically. My dog has had several surgeries including one in which he swallowed a cat toy, couldn't pass it and required $5,000 of surgery. While he was recovering he was not to have any additional vitamins or medication. Yours was one of those he was not supposed to have. This is just one example of a period of time in which I needed to change my auto shipments. Your customer service representatives do not seem to be empowered to suggest changes to your website, have your website send out advance notice of upcoming auto shipments. Yes I've been a client since my dog was old enough to take vitamins. I do like the product. I hate the website like I mentioned, it is not useful because it does not facilitate advance notice of auto shipments. "If you feel we are falling short, shoot us an email or call and let's see what's going on." (PB) like I said and like you said I've done that many times. I should not have to try and remember that NuVet doesn't notify me in advance of a shipment, that is an inconvenience to me. I'm 59 years old and I have a ton of auto shipments that come to me. I work full-time and am a widow and have a pretty busy life trying to take care of my dogs my home with my work and my daughter's horses. I don't have this problem with any other vendor. I have requested advance notice of upcoming shipments from you until I'm blue in the face. There has been more than one occasion when I called back after receiving a shipment I requested be delayed at the wrong time. Enough is enough. Spend the extra money for a website application that provides the customer service your clients deserve. Another suggestion: why don't you offer your clients an option of having the product delivered via UPS or FedEx in addition to the USPS option? Reason I ask: I live in a suburb that has community mailboxes. Your product does not fit in my mailbox. I have to wrestle it out of my mailbox often cracking the container. My mail carrier will not deliver it to my door. Not having an option to have it delivered to my doorstep is very frustrating. I don't like community mailboxes but I don't have a choice. I moved in September of 2020. Prior to that I lived in a home with an actual mailbox and didn't have a problem with that. It's time to update your website application to be in conformance with industry standards.

We have a 7 month old lab we got from the breeder at 8 wks of age. The breeder insisted we give her Nuvet Plus each day. She has had loose stools and occasional watery stools with blood on many occasions. Extremely thirsty. We have had several dogs over the past 40 years and this is new. Several hundred dollars in vet bills and antibiotics and no worms found. She seemed to improve with the vet prescribed digestive diet, but, then continues to have diarrhea and frequently in the house. I finally looked at the side effects of Nuvet Plus and found diarrhea and excessive thirst to be included. We stopped Nuvet last week and she is now a normal dog with normal stools and thirst. I just wish the breeder or Nuvet had made us aware to be on the lookout for this type of side effect.
