Strong 4+ for me. I had an issue of Timeout or something while gaining documentation. The email response took some hours and the contact was pleasant the issue was resolved and completed Swiftly.

Good customer support service

The experience was great due to their representative Kasey providing step by step instructions in order to complete the income verification. The website is a bit clunky but was able to get it done.

Like everyone else here I found myself emigrated to the US. I have a perfect UK credit rating and no credit rating in the US. As a 39 year old with a wife, a baby on the way, who had a mortgage, a car, a motorcycle and a comfortable life in the UK arriving in the US having access to nothing its extremely difficult and demoralising. Faced with no credit history and therefore no way to obtain credit I found Nova Credit. It seemed dubious. It felt like a big risk - the last thing I wanted to do was fail an application and start my US journey off on an even worse position. But it worked great - I got accepted with American express within 30 minutes of applying online. The application itself was direct with Amex which made me feel better about Nova Credit (as did reviews here). Some advice: Make sure you select the checkbox that says "I do not have a US credit history", this is what triggers the Nova credit search on the 3rd application screen. The application could not be entirely completed online, I had to call Amex so they could manually verify my address. This involved them calling my bank - so make sure you set up a US bank account with your US address before you apply. Also make sure you have a SSN before you apply - I don't know if that's totally necessary, but they asked for it multiple times and its what your new credit history will be linked to. Finally, why only 4 stars? Nova Credit's reach is limited. Basically only American Express. As soon as I'm able to I will be ditching Amex and will get a Visa CC. Similarly, it would be great if Nova could branch out and be used for products such as auto loans, and mortgages.

Nova credit offers US credit cards for people without a credit hstory. This is really helpful for students.

Had some technical hiccups while importing my credit score from Korea. Customer Service is on the slow side. However, once the report is successfully imported/generated it can be useful.

A great business idea The process in getting your Nova Credit score and applying for a US credit card was really straight forward and easy to follow. It's a really great idea and acknowledges responsible credit users who have been living overseas. What's stopping me from giving 5 stars is that I wish it was more widely recognized, at the moment it's a very useful tool for building American credit but it would be even better if you could use it instead of an American credit score.
