Excellent information/intructors - lacked structure and quality materials.
You will leave this course with an incredible understanding of not only lymphedema but all types of edema and how to manage them. The instructors are experts and excellent teachers. The downfalls of the course come with outdated study materials, lack of clear syllabus and testing expectations, mediocre supplies/class location, and distracting class population. Our class was a mix of OTs, PTs, and massage therapists. While lymphedema management is pertinent to massage therapists, this course requires a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology making this course very difficult for many of the massage therapists in my class. This frequently held up our class and limited the complexity of cases we were able to discuss. It would be more appropriate to have a separate course for massage therapists. All said, for the cost of the course, the materials and location should be of the best quality but I am happy with the information and skills I learned.
