No address verification, support is slow
They do not provide any business address verification, so their services are not suitable for selling on Amazon or eBay or Walmart. Also support answers you once a day, so it took me a week to solve a simple question.

Hi Eva, we can’t find your username in our client database and would love to talk you through our verification process. When you enlist our mail services we can provide verification for companies such as Amazon but we cannot be used as a return shipping address for packages. Beware of Dishonest Company
I was ready to sign up with them until I read their fine print. It states if you should ever close your account "you will NOT file a change of address request with the United States Post office." Therefore you would not be able to get your mail and legal notifications. This is not an ethical business practice and should not be allowed.

Hi, Laura. We’re a Registered Agent Service that receives service of process and other legal notifications at our local offices for millions of clients. The clause you’re referencing is a common and perfectly legal practice in our industry. When clients need to leave us, the process is easy. They file a Change of Agent form with their state SOS and their Registered Agent mail goes to that new address. No messing around with the post office needed. Scammy tactics hidden under a smile
I recently utilized Northwest Registered Agent's services, and I found their website to be user-friendly, especially as a new business owner. Initially, they appeared to be honest and reliable. However, my experience took a negative turn when I discovered their policy of holding mail hostage for a steep fee of $50 per letter. This practice is truly disheartening and unacceptable.

I hired them to start an LLC for me
I hired them to start an LLC for me. They started an LLC using the name I gave them. When I tried finding where the LLC is owned by me, I couldn’t find it. So I contacted an attorney and the Ohio attorney general. Both said I have no tie to this LLC and they don’t recommend putting any assets in it. Then they tried to bill me for services I canceled after telling them I didn’t want anything to do with them because they already scammed me out of enough money. Do not trust these people. Pay the extra for a local attorney to walk you through the process.

Hi No Names, Your review is real suspect. You called an attorney and the attorney general and neither of them understood how LLC ownership works? The real ownership of an LLC is laid out in the LLC operating agreement, not the formation documents. One of the real advantages of hiring us to form your LLC is the thing you’re complaining about. False Advertising and Scams
This company employs false advertising to get additional funds from its customer base. It claims it has an address that can be used in paperwork to file with the IRS, an essential component of maintaining appropriate distance between one’s LLC and the IRS. They make you pay a fee to use this address and then turn around and tell you the IRS has flagged the address as fraudulent in paperwork. AVOID this company and their scams. This is just one instance I encountered.

Hi Courtney. You might have us confused with the Cayman Islands. As a legal company doing actual business in the United States, we can’t stand between you and the federal government. Our mission is to keep your address off public filings. Any information submitted to the IRS is private, not public. The benefit of hiring us to form your LLC is that it will be formed by a registered agent. Because of that we’re able to offer clients a business address, mail scanning and a proverbial business identity. We practice Privacy by Default® and never sell client data. But we cannot and do not advertise that we can hide you from the federal government.

I paid them $175 for nothing
I paid them $175 for registered agent representation, two weeks later they say they have no record of me purchasing any services and the only thing they offer is to pay them (again). Total rip off, and they do not answer phone calls or emails, just a scam operation, never trust this company. They sent me an email and tried to say they don't charge $175, only $125, but it was $125 for representation and another $50 for filing the EIN, neither of which they did, they charged me and then said I had no account with them, not only do they lie but they double down when you call them out on it, what a vile company, never ever trust these scumbags

Hi Mike, I think you have the wrong company. Our registered agent service is $125, not $175. There's no way to pay us $175. So we probably don't have a record of you because you probably didn't sign up with us. We actually respond to all emails in less than 30 min, and we currently are answering over 95% of our phone calls in less than 5 rings, so I take offense with you calling us a scam. We service over 3 million active businesses in the US. We are by far the largest registered agent service and didn't get that way by overcharging people or ignoring them.
