My sister was in hospital for over a month. You can tell the Hospital is a DEI program base, bc the hospital care and knowledge of a lot of the staff is evident! Basic things !
The RNs do not have knowledge of the Anatomy as giving injections in arm. They RNs don't have basic knowledge of BP even on the cardic floor ! Can't do manual BP.
They give high doses of medications instead of starting low and increasing. Which they had to give the patient bags of saline to decrease medications.
The waste of supplies is absolutely insane.
Parking doesn't give discount for family members staying with the patient or if patient is there for a week or longer.
The food is expensive. And I was being charged a higher price on items . Once charge $2.50 grits, Another tried to charged me $3.99 for small bowl of grits and charged the person prior to me $2.50. And $5.99 for a singlr danish!
This used to be a great hospital but it is absolutely falling apart from DEI people that shouldn't be in medical.
Tells me people are just being passed and handed Certifications and Licenses. How scary!

Unsafe Discharge Plan at Northside Gwinnett ER
This review is specifically about Northside Hospital Gwinnett in Lawrenceville, Georgia, and the Gwinnett ER. It is not about any of the other Northside Hospital locations.
Northside Gwinnett was prepared to put my 78-year-old mother, who had a broken rib and a spinal fracture, into a random Uber around midnight and send her home alone.
Her phone was dead, even though I had repeatedly asked staff to charge it. We weren’t even sure she had her keys.
I was crying on the phone asking how the Uber would be paid for, how they knew she would get home safely, and what would happen if she was dropped off somewhere else. I was told that was “not his concern” and that these were “social issues.”
Another nurse then told us there were no discharge orders and that she believed my mother should be admitted.
A supervisor called me around 2:00 a.m. I called back, was left on hold, left a message, and never heard from her again.
On top of that, jewelry removed for my mother’s CT scan and taped to her cane was lost, including an irreplaceable necklace from my late father.
I have filed a formal grievance with Northside. The way this was handled was completely unacceptable.

I was treated for cancer for four years…
I was treated for cancer for four years at this hospital. And a couple of weeks ago, I received a phone call telling me that they are refusing to treat me anymore. This is after they kept a spot on my lung a secret for over a year without telling me. These people have no soul or heart. Atlanta Cancer Care is a joke. And so is Northside Cancer Institute. I just lost my father to lung cancer, and they kept the spot on my lung a secret for me which could be lethal. And I honestly hope that when the time comes that any of them need desperate help I hope that they get the same treatment that they gave me. Dr. Chi, Julia Vega and Latrell should never sleep well again. no wonder NORTHSIDE has a three star review

Above and Beyond!
I wanna thank the whole staff (Nurses, Patient techs, doctors) of Northside Hospital (Gwinnett location) in Georgia for saving my life. They went above and beyond! Even though they were busy as hell! They were very detailed up and checking on me. Made sure I ate and was well hydrated! And the customer service was fantastic!!!

Terrible Hospital/Doctor
Checking into THIS hospital for a Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy (SLNB) after a diagnosis of stage 3 uterine cancer was indeed the worst possible decision I have made in my entire life. After a total hysterectomy on Oct 20, 2025, uterine cancer was detected via my pathology report about one week later. My GYN surgeon referred me to an oncologist surgeon, Dr. Feuer, who by far has the worst bedside manner ever!! He is that type of doctor who is solely interested in the six-figure surgery. My husband and I were told during the pre-op that the potential major complications for the surgery were bowel obstruction, nerve damage and lymphedema. I became noticeably anxious, looked at my husband and this doctor noticed my hesitation and immediately dismissed any concerns, and then stated that there was a minimum possibility of lymphedema since I was not obese, and additionally because a SLNB was only a partial dissection of the lymph nodes in my groin and abdominal region as opposed to a full dissection. I now have nerve damage, lymphedema and radiculopathy (pinched nerve in my back) which causes excruciating back pain from the positioning during the surgery. In add to that, due to the lymphedema, each time I swell after periods of sitting or stationary standing I have to worry if the swelling will return to normal; I was forced to resign from my job after experiencing complications once I returned. There is no cure for lymphedema, and therefore inevitably my quality of life will never be the same. I still have four doctors after having five, all in various areas of Georgia. Even worse than the diagnosis, Dr. Feuer abandoned me post the surgery. I noticed the morning following the surgery upon trying to lift my leg to exit the hospital bed to use the restroom, that I couldn’t lift my right leg. I pressed the nurse button and explained that I needed to see my doctor. The nurse assured me that she would call the doctor to let him know what was going on, but he never came by to check on me during my entire stay. He was also not present at the post-op. Once released I called his office numerous times for guidance only to be directed each time to speak with a nurse practitioner, Chanel. The NP became so annoyed with my calling that it was reflected in the entire staff whenever I called. I was treated so poorly that I didn’t want to call anymore; Lashonda (name?) was particularly rude. I literally felt that I was becoming depressed and cried often. After calling several times and being left on hold each time, I tried one last time and the receptionist literally placed me on hold without bothering to even answer my call, which left me in tears. I was only trying to get help because by this time, not only did I still have a heavy leg, but there was numbness and swelling in the same upper leg. I reached out to the original surgeon for help who then referred me to a neurologist and provided other assistance. All the NP would say each time I called was to give it time. I feel that my concerns should have been addressed long before they were but I was at a lost for what to do. After like two months without proper follow up care, I finally realized that she just couldn’t help me, after all, she was not credentialed as an oncologist. Dr. Feuer didn’t bother to call me until about four weeks post the surgery, and wouldn’t even listen, he only spoke over me. I asked for my medical records to be sent to another oncologist. About a week or two after I’d requested my records I received a letter from Dr. Feuer’s office that he was not going to treat me any further, but that’s why I requested my records because he wasn’t treating me in the first place. It wasn’t his first rodeo so he was just trying to cover himself; however, it was I who’d asked for my records so that I could see someone else because of his neglect. He then sent me a letter stating that he wasn’t going to treat me so that he could place it in his records. I continued to suffer as I sought assistance on my own. I was confused and alone. I have multiple complications without any initial help from the hospital staff, and later this doctor. I even reported this doctor and the lack of professionalism of his staff to the hospital’s headquarters, but they did absolutely nothing! One day soon I will be vindicated through telling my story whereas someone will actually listen.

Gross administrative negligence, dangerous lack of communication, patronizing, and zero patient care
This is specifically for Northside Thoracic Surgery specifically Dr. Anmar Asban, and his staff.
A receptionist named Tiffany also pertains to this.
I am writing this review to warn others about the severe lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic care at Northside Thoracic Surgery (specifically under Dr. Anmar Asban and his staff). If you expect a medical office to review your chart, take your symptoms seriously, or handle critical orders efficiently, look elsewhere. My experience with this facility has been deeply distressing due to the following repeated failures:
Complete Disregard for Critical Timelines: I was tracking a concerning, symptomatic concern causing painful physical symptoms, yet the Northside Radiology scheduling center office continuously dropped the ball on urgent orders due to them assuming they do not take my insurance. After an in-person appointment with Dr. Asban, the Northside call center failed to correctly submit the necessary information for a critical CT Chest Scan with Contrast, forcing me to cancel and reschedule my original appointment because authorization wasn't handled in time. When my insurance explicitly requested that Dr. Asban’s office call them to expedite the delayed pre-certification, his staff flatly refused to help. A staff member named Chandra explicitly told me "they don't do that" —showing a complete lack of urgency for a patient's well-being.
Failure to Review Charts & Terrible In-Office Care: Every single time I walked into the office, it was clear that Dr. Asban had not reviewed my chart or medical history. I was forced to repeatedly re-explain my entire medical history during visits. They completely ignored my submitted intake paperwork, proving they simply do not listen.
Incompetent and Patronizing Customer Service: Basic administration is non-existent. They ordered a lab test meant specifically for fetal fluid even though I am not pregnant, later shrugging it off without an apology by claiming "it's basically the same thing." Furthermore, despite confirming multiple times that they accepted my insurance, staff continually pushed back with patronizing attitudes. Responses to emails simply do not exist.
Laughable Telehealth Standards: I was scheduled for a virtual appointment at 2:30 PM. After waiting nearly 30 minutes in an empty digital waiting room, I called the office only for the receptionist to lightly laugh it off and say he "might have forgotten." When Dr. Asban finally joined, he couldn't get his basic screen setup to work. He spent less than 10 minutes on the call, showing zero care or accountability. This establishment operates with an alarming level of negligence that actively delays patient care. They do not listen, they do not care, and their refusal to coordinate care or handle basic medical scheduling borders on malpractice. They will be reported to the medical boards. Northside Radiology scheduling also needs a full re-vamp on training on what insurances are accepted.

NHG review
I came to Northside Hospital Gwinnett after getting sick and visiting an Urgent Care twice. What started as a bad sinus infection, evolved into something more serious. On May 11/26 I arrived at the ER for a serious health issue. The ER staff were efficient and pleasant and my wait to get to an exam room was relatively short. The ER nurse was also pleasant and took time to interview me, notify the ER doctor and begin treatment. As the day wore on I felt I was probably going to get admitted but hadn’t actually see a doctor. Finally told by ER nurses that I was to get admitted but had to wait for an available bed. The ER staff nurses were wonderful and my care was as good as was possible with a full house. Dr Kapur finally showed up to explain what was happening and to verify my admission. At 3 AM I was transferred to 1East tower and put in isolation. Again the nurses here were so warm, understanding, efficient and sympathetic to my condition. Most all of staff were great except for a few us but that can be overlooked. I ended up leaving the hospital on 5/13. I wish to thank the following nurses for outstanding care during my stay; Sarah, Catharine, Laura, Faith, Haley, Jessica, Emy, Katlyn. There were others whose names I forget. Thanks to my doctors who probably got annoyed with me for knowing too much about health and health care. It takes special people to work in the health field; it’s challenging and sometimes unforgiving. I feel Northside Hospital and staff did their very best to help me with my crisis. I can recommend this hospital and suggest patients not to judge too harshly

Northside Hospital Duluth billing is…
Northside Hospital Duluth billing is awful. They keep changing collection agencies and double billing. A part of the bill was paid by an attorney after an automobile accident. They charged me for my annual mammogram that was fully covered by insurance as preventive care. I also had a financial agreement in place.
