Good food and the Probiotics Really Helped my sneezy stray cat be Friendly so tame enough to bring to vet. Huge difference 1st month. BUT I have a REAL BIG Problem with Shipping and other Management issues. WHY not send in FOAM to stay cold Longer. Bundles of food in my last order were Not put Together in a bag to help each other stay cold so they ended up rolling apart to warm faster. The dry ice doesn't last and gets the box wet (food pouches too when not in a plastic bag) End of Day shipping should NOT be an option cause on Super HOT Trucks all day. I don't feel Safe getting thawed food to re-freeze. The last order had inconsistent Portion sizes like some pouches more n some less. Now with this order .. With No Warning .. Nom decides to No Longer send the 'heads up' email to let you Edit or change delivery date. Really? They just want to get their money n send more food without improving the problem shipping to keep the food 100% safe. Gr8 food but management problems. I am seriously considering stopping due to ethics. Most problems in the last 3 months so wondering if a management change. These serious problems reduced my trust.

Shipping Suddenly Unreliable I started using Nom Nom not quite a year ago and my dogs absolutely love the food. Some of the packets seem a little off in size, with smaller or larger amounts, but that typically isn't too much of an issue. However, three shipments in a row now my order has been late. It is supposed to be shipped two-day Fed Ex and each time I've received a message from FedEx that the order is delayed by a day. Two reasons why that's not cool - 1. when the order didn't arrive I was stuck with no food for my dogs for two meals and had to improvise. Dogs can easily get upset stomachs from switching food. 2) it is summer. The last time when the order arrived the food was no longer cool to the touch. We had to throw out an entire month's worth of food. The company did send us a replacement box which was supposed to ship overnight, but ended up taking two days. Now, as I am typing this I am waiting for my delivery that was supposed to come yesterday. Supposedly they told me they put extra dry ice in so it should still be OK, but if it's not, then that's another couple of days I'll be without food. I'm assuming this is a FedEx issue, not a Nom Nom issue, but it doesn't matter whose fault it is - you still have no food when it doesn't arrive on time. I'd encourage Nom Nom to hold FedEx accountable and if they can't get it together, switch shipping companies.

Decided to try it. Was told to use the pork "transition" meals first. Our dog has been sick with this food with vomiting and diarrhea. Both vomit and diarrhea contains the potatoes in the pork food. We're not sure if the potatoes weren't cooked all the way but he hasn't had any issues eating some boiled potatoes we have made in the past. Fearful of trying the other meals, we ordered the turkey and the beef because he is allergic to chicken. Will see how he does over the next few days before trying the other two protein choices and update the review in case the pork caused an issue for him.

My dog loves the food, but unfortunately their attention to detail and customer service isn’t the best. They send you pre measured portions, but just to be safe we measured the food ourselves and every single one is usually off, and not just by a few grams, usually by way too much for me to feel safe trusting the package. Customer service sent us the same copy and pasted reply twice and essentially said that they will all be off by a little, not addressing the large amount missing from most our meals that went beyond the range of error. It’s unfortunate that this is an issue because our pup really enjoys meal time. I hope they up their game in quality control because trust is important when paying more money to try and keep your dog healthy.

With the chicken, way to many carrots. Beef, way to many potatoes. The turkey with the rice is a favorite

Update: I decided to downgrade from 4 stars to 3 stars. Regarding underfilling the food, Nom Nom said they would start sending 70g of food, instead of 50g. They also threw in 7 packs of food for free. Now my monthly subscription costs more. If my cat actually received the amount stated on the package, 50g, then I would not need to pay more. They need to actually provide the amount of food stated on the package. Original review: I have two cats eating this food for 6 months. Pros: they still enjoy eating it; their stools are tiny and don't smell; they have more energy; good customer service experience. Cons: only one flavor for cats; pieces are too big (I have to cut with scissors); every once in a while I'll get a package of food that has tendons in it that are extremely hard for my cats to eat. I have to cut them up really small; don't like plastic packaging and potential harm from endocrine disruptors leaking into food; one cat is overweight and did not lose any weight (he actually gained weight); one cat is at a healthy weight and actually started losing weight. I want to expand on the issue about the cat losing weight. She's supposed to get 50g of food per package, and I started weighing it for about 2 months every time at meal time and found that Nom Nom consistently underfills the food. Today she only got 36g! Last week she got 29g! It's rare for her to get over 45g. Nom Nom said they strive to have a 5g-10g variance in weight. They will increase her food though. I'm bummed my overweight cat did not lose weight at all. His food is also underfilled, but he's overweight so I don't mind as much. Plus he's supposed to get 90g so when they underfill it doesn't make as much of a difference since he gets so much food. I've been stealing food from him to give to my underweight cat. Overall, Nom Nom does seem like a healthier cat food option and their customer service seems good. However, please offer more variety for cats and cut the food chunks smaller. I have flat faced cats so the huge pieces make it extremely hard for them to eat. Also, quality assurance needs to be looked into regarding food weight.

I have a small dog. We receive small packs (50G) of Chicken Chow and have noticed that the fill size between packets differs quite dramatically. Some packets may have almost twice the amount (or half the amount) of other packets. Also, I believe the sweet potatoes aren't cooked as they are very hard. My dog won't eat them because of this. Do you have a formula where the sweet potatoes are cooked or softer?

Looks like a great product, but my pup was allergic to the recipe. I was told that to receive a refund, I would need to have my pup eat the food for a full 30-days. This doesn't make any sense at all given I would waste more food in the process and put my pup at risk. If you have a dog with food allergies, be mindful that you may not be able to qualify for the 30-day money back guarantee.
