I've purchased Nom Nom for our Frenchie for about a year now. All was going well but then suddenly I started to notice a few changes. For one, the packaging was no longer easy to peel open. No big deal but this did bug my wife when she had to feed our dog. Then I started to notice that we weren't getting the equal amount of food between deliveries. For example, 1 month I'd get X amount of Beef and was shorted on the Turkey. Then I would get X amount of Chicken and shorted on the Beef. The one that pushed me over the edge was when I received a notification about their price increase. My price went up by $76 for the same amount of food. The kicker... you are told if its out of your budget... you can modify to only accept a certain amount of food and mix it with something else. What's the point of that. The reason for the price increase in the email is "due to unprecedented times". I wish companies stopped using that excuse already. COVID and everything else in the world just gives companies an excuse to push their prices higher for their own gain. It's somewhat ironic that Nom Nom was acquired by Mars back in Jan 2022. So I can only believe that a corporate giant as Mars is the reason for the price increase. I just cancelled (check out their FB and Instagram posts of people just cancelling left and right). I ended up going with Pet Plate. I get the same amount of food for a lower price than I originally paid with Nom Nom. So win win overall. One last thing I'll mention is that other than our Frenchie having more solid bowel movements and a beautiful coat... it did nothing to alleviate her allergies or skin irritation.

There appears to be inconsistencies in the amount of food in each bag. The Turkey fills up his bowl but clearly the pork seems to be half the amount. What is the explanation for this? I look forward to hearing from you.

Nomnom started out great, good food, consistent product. Then the packages of food started to vary so much, my dogs were hungry one day, full the next. Called to find out what was going on, got scripted replys as answer. Then the food arrived black in the packages as they defrosted. Called again, same scripted response. The next shipment we got even more black spoiled food, others were green food, some brown, by then we had enough and canceled our contract. Something changed but not for the better!

Updated 3/27/22 As a fresh food pet meal delivery service, my expectation for standard performance (aka the bare minimum) is - on-time delivery, food safety and packaging. As of today, my second order didn't arrive on time. One pack from my last order had a hole in the package and compromised the content. Half of the previous order individual packages were suboptimal, the packages broke easily, you could tell they switched to a cheaper material. And when I reached out to CS, no apologies, no partial refund was offered. They had offered a discount credit. Honestly, wasn't sure if I'd still be continuing. ------------------ previous feedback----------- The product is great, my dog loved his pork and beef recipes- (although, he did have a full-on diarrhea after eating his turkey recipe so we quickly stopped those). The package came in super quick, however, half of the packaging seal was broken, with its content exposed. Luckily the meals were still frozen. Please pay more attention to your packaging, especially the tape used.

Two stars because we’re noticing more and more underweight packages. Our dog is on a 200g per meal plan and several packages are half. Do I really need to weigh 112 packages every time to make sure they stop cheating us when we pay over $300 for dog food?

My VERY First deliver from Nom Nom was completely Thawed out! The shipping box was soaking wet from ALL the dry ice that had melted! (ALL OF IT WAS MELTED) every pack of food was thawed and WARM! Customer service was very nice and immediately sent me out another shipment on the house… The second shipment arrived again the outer cardboard box was soaking wet, all of the dry ice has melted but the food packets were still frozen so I kept them… I just received my third shipment,UGH…. The cardboard shipping box was again soaking wet and the bottom fell out carrying it into the house, all of the packets were thawed out and work”coolish to the touch” but completely Thawed AGAIN! They offered to send me another one but I refused, because they were slightly cool (borderline Warm) to the touch so I thought I would try it… It completely filled my Freezer, So I have no room for groceries… again they offered to replace it but I declined because my freezer was full! Their problem is they pack a small amount of dry ice in a cardboard box, that sits in 130° FedEx truck for 3 to 4 days! And I live in Florida, and the packaging just does not hold up, and they will not stay frozen! It scares me to death! I don’t trust it as far as I can throw it… Customer service reached out again and offered me another shipment but I declined because I have no room for it! I am a retired epidemiologist, and these people have no idea how viruses and bacteria works, because the rep told me that as long as the bags were “cool to the touch” they’re ok! This is so far off base, it boggles the mind! Bacteria can thrive in frozen weather, and how long were the packets thawed out in the back of that 130° FedEx truck for four days? I guarantee you enough time for bacteria and viruses to grow at an exponential rate… Until tell Nom nom, steps up their game two Omaha steaks shipping procedures, they are going to make some poor dog very very sick! My shipping box actually fell apart trying to carry it in the house because it was soaking wet from melted dry ice! I am giving them one more chance and I’m moving on. Update: 9/10/21: well, as much as I hated doing it, I moved on….I just have a “Gut Feeling” about these guys! I mean 2 out of 3 shipments Melted and warm, Boxes falling apart…..nah, I LOVE my Dog TOO much to take a chance here…..I’m trying “Ollies” this time, hopefully they have a little more “Shipping Expertise” than ol Nom Noms……..but my Dog sure loved their food! I’ll give em THAT for sure

Let me start by saying that my dog likes the food. It is with sadness that I am giving only two stars because I think the food is good, however, the delivery is horrible at best. The customer service is not very helpful at all and my dog has been left without food on few occasions. I even ordered an extra shipment so that I can have food on hand when the shipment is delayed, and the EXTRA shipment got delayed/cancelled also. Needless to say, it has been a headache. I have a German Shepherd dog with a very sensitive gut so any change to his diet results in loose stools. Not cool Nom Nom.

The last shipment we received came not frozen. It was cold but we are nervous that the food is not good. We put half of it in the freezer and the rest in the refrigerator. I don't know why it came only somewhat cold. I am just nervous that we should not give our dogs the food. Now what?
