Reception staff and managers were majorly unhelpful, not only to me but to many people I have spoken with. The rooms and kitchens were not worth the extortionate price. There are much better student accommodations with larger spaces and nicer staff for a lot less money such as Amnis House.

As a resident living here at NIDO there are several positive and negative experiences we’ve had. Positives 1. New building which is well insulated. Comfortable and equipped with gym and laundry at a reasonable rate. 2. Access to common areas such as study rooms and kitchen is great for students and professionals. 3. Residents in the building are great, calm and peaceful. Negatives 1. Cleanliness is a huge problem. I was told that there are cleaners 5 times a week. While there are cleaners, cooking areas and corridors remain dirty for weeks on end. Laundry areas have stuff lying in there for months on the end. 2. Fire alarms go off twice a week and many times at odd hours creating unnecessary anxiety. 3. Nido website has a lot of issues. It shows you are due a huge amount even when we’ve paid even. You have to keep checking to ensure what they are charging you for. Inconsistent information from front desk. 4. Recently, the front desk staff is unhelpful and impolite. They are there only limited times and don’t respond in a helpful manner. They will shift the blame on you and expect you to follow up with different departments. 5. Residents are on their own if stuck or need help. 6. Some apartments are facing dust and air quality issues as they are facing construction sites so beware while choosing what direction your apartment faces. Overall, the building and facilities are good. However, unclear policies and borderline impolite front desk are a challenge.

Nach Wochen immer noch nicht die Mietkaution und zwei weitere Abbuchung der monatlichen Miete zurück gezahlt. Das geht einfach nicht!

I lived in Haigh court in Liverpool for two years. At the beginning, the on site manager Lee was friendly but gradually he became mean and rude to me because one thing happened. Nido decided to refurbish the rooms in Haigh court between 2020-2021, so they asked me to move to another side of the building from my original room. What I had paid for was a premium en-suite but they moved me to a standard en-suite which means a smaller room without any compensation. I was angry and went to reception and try to argue for my own rights. But the manager told me that he didn’t have enough big room so someone has to go to small room. But because I was new to the country at that time, I didn’t know how to protect my own rights. So all I could do was arguing in a loud voice. But the manager Lee got really impatient and pissed off. He just kept yelling at me. I told him that I should get a bigger room and my future roommates were all boys who like smoke very much which made me very uncomfortable. But he kept blaming me that I was not inclusive ! After this argument, I was very irritated but also hopeless. In order to get a bigger room, I ask another stuff to help me to express my apologies for speaking in a loud voice to him at that time, which I shouldn’t . And he said sorry to me afterwards and moved me to a slightly bigger room which is not as nice as my original one. I thought everything should finish there but it didn’t. After I moved into the new room for several months, my key couldn’t open my flat door. I went to the reception again, and told them that my key couldn’t work anymore. What Lee did wasn’t trying to figure out the problem but blaming me again! He tried to blaming that I didn’t reported the problem when the construction team was still in the accommodation. The the fact was the problem occurred after the construction team leaving. But Lee wasn’t going listen what I explained, he was just keeping blaming me… This was happened one year ago, but it has given me a metal abuse. I was just an international student and has no relatives in the UK. So when those things happened, I didn’t dare to fight against and apologized to the thing which wasn’t my fault. I still give 2 stars her because some other Nido stuff is still friendly. Especially the staff working the night shift. And Nido had nice policy for summer stay.
