it's disturbing that someone has acquired MyLife out of bankruptcy in December 2024, especially when it was sued for deceptive business practices in 2020!

I signed up to simply correct my address and the site doesn't work. Don't do it.

SCAM ALERT! DO NOT join MyLife. They do not provide any data or information that you can't get for yourself by googling. It is only public information. They also make it impossible to cancel the service. I tried to cancel but they renewed anyway and charged me. I've tried several times to get my money back, but all they said is that my service won't automatically renew after this cycle. So, I paid for a cycle I didn't want to begin with.

I signed up for a free trial even though it looked pretty scammy. It had some of my background info but was missing more than 50%. I then canceled the same day and wrote an email specifically confirming that I canceled my trial, did not want a subscription, and did not authorize any transactions, renewals, subscriptions fees, or otherwise. Month later they start charging me. Still trying to get them to reverse the charge and follow the law.

I decided to look up my profile on MyLife. I have never seen such a string of misinformation about me including a string of people I've never even heard of. If any organization relies on this as a resource they are doing themselves a major disservice.

Is this company really even trying? I looked up my own name and was blown away by how many inaccurate items appeared. According to their website I'm still married to a person I divorced over 26 years ago and my new spouse of 10 years isn't even mentioned. That's pretty basic, public info, right? My address is still listed at a house I moved out of approximately 5 years ago; and there are relatives listed that I've never heard of, and I'm pretty sure I'm not related to them. When you search for a name the way in which it makes you wait while it builds a status bar "collecting info" is lame. I can't believe there aren't major lawsuits against this company.
