Poor Ethics In Sales
They are set up that you must reach out to them to get pricing. They will nor give you pricing until youve gone through several back and forth conversations. Theres a definite god complex going on where youre supposed to be meek and pitiful unable to survive without them. Everything goes great until you aren't blowing rainbows up their.... nose. The moment they gave me the price ($700 for 3 months is the cheapest option) Carlos got very pushy. I told him I needed to think on it since $700 is not pocket change. It is my rule to never make big financial decisions in the heat of emotion. Carlos didnt like that. He kept trying to pester me and force me into constant conversation so I couldnt think it through, even though I told him twice that I was going to take a few days to think it over. I finally told him specifically that I had asked for time and didnt appreciate that he wasnt respecting that. He got snippy with me and told me that "time" always means "no" so hes going to focus on other students.... the whole thing was just Ludacris. If time means no then why did you keep pestering me? If you already knew it was a no what were all those emails for? The complete lack of ownership when I called him out for not respecting my boundary is also concerning. Any sales pitch that requires aggressive maneuvers like that gives me pause. It feels very shady. *Well apparently now we are also going to add lying to the list of things this company trades in. After I left the review the company responded claiming that I misinterpreted the conversation and that DAYS had passed between communication. This is unfortunately a straight up lie. On Sept 5th I said I needed time to think and then got 3 emails (two on Sept 5, 1 on Sept 6). The first I responded to (it came almost immediately after my time request), I again reiteratted I was going to think it through. The second email I did not respond to. At the third email I asked Carlos why he wasnt allowing me to think about it. His response was passive aggressive and ridiculous (as you can see above). I can only share my experience and it was not positive. To now claim Im the one at fault for misinterpreting Carlos' tactics is laughable. I dont care if you were trying to be helpful, friendly, encouraging??? It doesnt matter. I asked you to give me time and you did not have any respect for that. Now twisting the story and claiming you waited days ...come on grow up. Youre like a child, lying to get out of trouble. Do better.

Thank you for your feedback. I personally reviewed the full conversation after seeing this review, and I’d like to clarify a few points. You expressed concerns about whether our program was legitimate from the beginning, which we completely understand when considering an online program and a significant investment. That is also one reason we speak with prospective students before enrollment rather than simply asking them to purchase. After receiving the pricing, you said you wanted to think about it. We respected that and followed up a couple of days later. At no point were you required to make a decision or continue the conversation. When it appeared you were not ready to move forward, Carlos simply explained that, in his experience, “let me know” usually means no, and that we would move on and focus on other students. His intention was to close the conversation, not pressure you into purchasing. I understand that you interpreted the interaction differently, and I’m sorry the experience left you with that impression. But after reviewing the conversation myself, I don’t believe it would be accurate to characterize our approach as forcing or pressuring someone into enrolling. Our program requires commitment and mutual trust. If either side doesn’t feel that fit is there, we’re perfectly comfortable not moving forward. I wish you the best with your Spanish learning. Edit: Our records show that the offer was sent on September 4 and get back to you , and was not immediate (on the 6th September or 7th september depending on your time zone. We have reviewed the exchange internally and agree that the final message could have been worded differently. Frederic Founder, My Daily Spanish
