I ordered an expensive fragrance, Roja Dove Lost in Paris. The return policy of this company is so restrictive that even testing the fragrance with 2-3 sprays the company will not accept the return request. They guarantee authentic fragrances but I have owned Lost in Paris before. What was sent to me by this company is not Roja Dove Lost in Paris. I will never purchase a thing from them and will report to the BBB.

If I could give zero stars I would. I have had multiple issues with this vendor. Over the period of a year, I purchased a number of sample decants from MyCustomScent. The first two transactions went well and I was pleased with what I ordered as well as being able to take advantage of some sale pricing. However, the third purchase contained a sample that had almost no fragrance. They agreed to take it back and I could re order something else. However since my new order would only be one item, I couldn't take advantage of the sale price I originally received. They agreed to issue a credit after to my card after my purchase, to reflect the sale price on the original item. It took a while for me to re order due to a prolonged illness. However, I contacted them when I was ready to reorder and they committed to issue the credit. That was in April, 2026. Further, while waiting for this credit, their sale price of 50% off orders over $500 was still posted on their website home page so I decided to make another large order. When I tried to use the discount sale code, it didn't work. Also, I noticed that they recently added an almost $7.00 processing fee FOR EACH SAMPLE. Finally, the last issue is that I noticed that while they are based in California and I am in Connecticut, they were charging me California sales tax (a difference of 4%) which is not legal. After several back and forth emails, they insisted the sale price was expired and should not have been left posted - it was allegedly an error. They also insisted that they had every right to charge California sales tax on an order going to Connecticut. The only thing they offered to do was a discount of 35%, but refused to eliminate the $7.00 per sample processing fee and or charge the appropriate state sales tax. Then they decided the discount would only be 20%. As for the adjustment they promised for the unacceptable sample, that never appeared on my credit card and it has been four billing cycles. I have sent four reminders about this and they have gone silent - no response. Enough said. Never again. I plan to send this atrocity to my state attorney general - especially as it relates to overcharging on sales tax.

I ordered a sample of Louis Vuitton’s Rain Tea because I wanted to compare it to the bottle of LV Rain Tea I had purchased to see if the bottle was fake. Well turns out the bottle I purchased is real and the sample they sent me is fake as I noticed a clear difference between the two being that the sample I got from mycustomscent smelled cheap and watered down so I took the bottle to my local LV to have it authenticated by LV themselves. They’re going to claim that they have no info or records of my purchase in their system like they do with anybody else who rightfully calls them a scam but take mine and others words for it, don’t waste your time and money with this company. They are a scam.

Their samples are all diluted or fake. Bought multiple from them and other sites to test; theirs were the only ones that didn’t smell right. The color is way off, smell is off. Save your money.

It is a complete scam. I paid $180 for a sample that it doesn’t even smell the same of the original and 3oz on Newman Marcus cost me $170

This place dilutes the fragrances. Very weak and not at all like the authentic products I bought before.

Bought decants for travel purposes. Know two of the scents very well as I use them frequently and the decants received ARE NOT the original scents; they smell very different. The third one smells weak and watered down when it is a more concentrated formula. This is a scam.
