It was very disappointing after purchasing yearbook pictures for my son for the last 11 years through Lifetouch that in order to purchase just a 8x10 yearbook picture for his Senior Year is $55 and $9.99 shipping for one 8/10 photo. Even called customer service and was told that would be the price. I would understand if we did his Senior pictures through them, but all I wanted was the Yearbook picture.

No help from the photographer
Unfortunately the photographer for my son’s graduation sitting didn’t manage to help him and he ended up with unnatural looking smiles and awkward posturing. He basically looks like he’s in pain in all the photos. I reached out to Lifetouch. They will not assist with a re-do.

I'm filing a complaint regarding my recent experience with Lifetouch's products and customer service.
I am filing this complaint regarding my recent experience with Lifetouch and its customer service.
I ordered 25 graduation thank-you cards for my daughter's Class of 2026 graduation at a cost of approximately $55. When the cards arrived, I discovered they had been printed incorrectly. A large "Class of 2026" banner covered part of my daughter's face, the photo was not centered properly, and the top of her head was cut off. These were obvious printing and layout issues that made the cards unusable.
As soon as I received the order, I immediately attempted to contact Lifetouch to have the issue corrected. Unfortunately, reaching customer service was extremely difficult. The phone system repeatedly directed me to use an online chatbot rather than allowing me to speak with a representative.
Using the chatbot, I explained the problems in detail. The representative acknowledged the issues, assured me they understood the problem, and stated that replacement thank-you cards would be sent with the corrections made.
When the replacement order arrived, none of the issues had been corrected. The banner still covered my daughter's face, and the layout problems remained exactly the same. It appeared that no corrections had been made despite the assurances I had received.
I again attempted to contact customer service through the chatbot without success. I then searched for an alternate phone number because I was unable to reach a live person through the standard customer service process.
When I finally reached a representative by phone, communication was very difficult. The representative was unable to locate my order, had difficulty understanding the issue I was describing, and eventually stopped responding during the call while the line remained connected. After repeatedly asking if anyone was there and receiving no response, I had no choice but to end the call.
I called again and reached a different representative. During that conversation, I again explained the entire situation. This representative ultimately agreed that I should receive a refund and stated that the refund would take approximately one week to process.
My complaint is not only about receiving defective products but also about the extremely frustrating customer service experience. I spent a significant amount of time trying to resolve an issue that should have been straightforward. I was sent replacement products that still contained the same printing errors, could not easily reach a live representative, and had to make multiple attempts before obtaining any meaningful assistance.
I believe customers who pay premium prices for personalized graduation products should receive correctly printed items and have access to responsive, competent customer service when problems occur.
I am requesting that Lifetouch honor the promised refund in full. I also hope the company improves its quality control procedures and provides customers with a reliable way to speak with a live representative when product issues arise.

Can I give a zero?
Can I give a zero? I usually give 5 star review, but I've never encountered a company that needed a 0 star review. TERRIBLE customer service. The irony of the website saying please call us instead of chatting, because chat times are longer, but there is no actual phone number anywhere on the site. TERRIBLE photos. In this day and age of digital photography, my kid can take a better photo than the photographer. It doesn't even seem like they care if you buy photos or not. Don't waste your time with customer service. You can take better photos of your kid on your iphone and then develop them at Walgreens. Do not waste your money. That's what happens when greedy Shutterfly buys out everyone.

The care of the photographers has declined for the past years. I work at the school and I witness first hand how they work. The poses and facial expressions do not suit the students at all and they do not take their time to redo them. They rush to get all pictures done. That's all!
I'm personally very disappointed of their professionalism. I'm looking forward for things to change or another company to take over.

Not with the website but photographer
Not with the website. I was looking forward to have my son get some school photos as the picture day fell on his 2nd birthday. They did a horrible job with first having him sit for the photos or remain standing. It’s a shame because you are suppose to be toddler /kid friendly. You are not. No one worked with him and is very frustrating. I paid for an extra day for him to be there. I hope you will not come back to his daycare or future school for any photos. You highly disappointed us and caused me to loose out on money

Very disappointed in the outcome of the…
Very disappointed in the outcome of the Fall photo and the Spring photo, which captured the same fake smile or more like a scared expression. You would think a professional photographer would know how to snap a picture of a real smile. They did not respond to my complaint, nor do they offer any retakes for dissatisfied customers. Looks like I'll be taking my child some place else to get an acceptable picture taken.
