The voice quality on Murf is actually decent, but the actual Studio interface is a total nightmare to navigate. I spent way too much time trying to sync the text-to-speech blocks with my video, and the whole thing kept lagging or glitching out every time I made a small change. For the high price they charge, I expected a much smoother experience, but it honestly feels clunky and frustrated me more than it helped.

The voices sound great, but the high prices and automatic credit card charges feel like a total "gotcha". It’s frustrating that they won't give refunds for renewals I didn't want, especially since any minutes I paid for but didn't use just vanish at the end of the month.

The translation from my text document to an audio script was riddled with errors. A lot of the words were complete jumbled. You cannot teach the program how to pronounce words, or add emphasis without upgrading to the $299 a month plan. Those options need to be mandatory at any level. I cancelled after two months and will be creating audio books from scratch in my own voice. Their AI voices were robotic. Obvious AI. That is not the sound I want for my brand.

The quality of voiceovers is great, however the pricing is steep. I decided to cancel my membership for a few months with the intention of coming back, however upon cancelling I lost all of my accumulated voiceover minutes that I had essentially been paying for for the last year. Most applications allow you to use the remainder of what you paid for until your membership period expires. For this reason I would not recommend Murf to anyone again, nor would I resume a membership myself. While you are informed of this during the cancellation process, this is a bit of a slap in the face to customers who have paid their monthly memberships for some time, but who may choose to cancel based on price or frequency of use. I would have liked to use my remaining minutes, but Murf really gives you no choice.

The product looks good and I may very well have given it a 5 stars, but it is a scam the way they lure you waste loads of time playing with it as the site ALLEGES there is a free version ... but NO, you have to join a plan to convert what you create to an mp3. Of course you need to dig into the help desk to be told that - not where you actually sign up for the trial! They need a new marketing decision-maker because this is a really poor introduction to your customer experience.

They have a free option but it is disappointing. Somehow I used up the 10 minutes of voice generation before I could even finish the video. 10 mins of voice generation and 10 mins of transcription and thats it. No way to get more free credits this month, next month or ever unless you subscribe to a plan. I was really hopeful for this one but since the time was gone so quickly, I can easily see running out of time after just a few videos, even with the paid plan...I found that Movio seems to be a bit better and at least I was able to use the credit I had and finish the free video. I will get another credit next month. After I finish my research, I believe I will likely go with Movio. It has a familiar feel to it (Canva) and since I am familiar with Canva, their interface was very easy to use.

Murf is good, very good, BUT the price for the 'voice time' that you get is not good value. There used to be a 'one time' pack, where you paid for one off usage. They have removed this in favour of expensive plans. The pricing structure needs to be reworked and made more attractive, competitive and most of all cheaper. For what I pay for 24 hours of voice time I can get a better deal with a REAL voice on a site like Fiverr.com
