The current health crisis has impacted all of us. Like most other small business owners, there is little margin, we employ staff that rely on us to manage our business so they can feed their families, and we have committed our life savings to making our business work. The thought of not having revenue for the foreseeable future to pay loans, rent, and other monthly business obligations, coupled with the fear of losing my home and any savings my wife and I have worked our entire lives for is overwhelming. I've reached out to my business landlord/property manager, and other creditors - most having very little sympathy - may waive late fees and not charge interest if 50% of payment is made. In a month, without some understanding and assistance, I would likely lose everything. My home mortgage company will only offer forbearance if I am currently delinquent. Yesterday, I called and emailed Mulligan Funding to explain my situation. They didn't hesitate to ask how they could help. They immediately offered to help in any way they could. In less than 15 minutes, in writing they assured me they would work with me and reduced my payments to something that I know I can manage until we can be open for business once again. Knowing that there are people and businesses that care - give me encouragement that I, and the millions of others in similar situations will survive this with just a little bit of help and kindness from our business partners.
