I scheduled an appointment online as prompted. The email confirmation gave a date with a time window of 12-5:00. Ok, that isn't uncommon. BUT I needed to cancel the service call and reschedule. I left my name and number and request. Not a word from anyone. I have no clue if anyone will show up tomorrow or not. Leaving a note on the door. Will attempt to find another appliance repair in the area.

The repairman (Gary) was surly & defensive. He needs some instruction in people skills. I was told they couldn't repair my washer & paid what was charged for the service call. The receipt they emailed does not mention the amount charged. I will not use them again, or recommend them to anyone.

Worst experience i ever had with an appliance repair company. Technician came to fix my Samsung stove he had to replace an igniter, he replaced it with a 14.00 non Samsung part. Tech told me it was 478.00 to do it and said Samsung parts are expensive, i told him no, he then said 417.00 and if you don't replace it you can start to smell gas and for some reason i did it. Remember the tech is on commission so he wants to make the most off you. Two days went buy i called Mr. appliance and asked to speak to someone, the reception looked the job up and said yes the tech was to high we will not cash your check, which they did immediately. After two days i spook with the manager RICH GLOSKEY who kept giving me the run around and just kept stating we give you a year warranty on the part(the company of the part gives you that)He then said the tech charged you to much we will refund 118.00 which i still haven't received it. Rich said we will speak to the tech, in the time of need with people out of jobs this company is out there ripping customers off, BEWARE they tried it on me how many other people did they do it to.. I will NEVER use this place again. Just look at the star rating again BEWARE of MR APPLAIANCE!!!!!!!!!

I had an issue with the freezer of my built-in Viking fridge. Techs came out to fix it. They needed to access behind the unit so the fridge needed to be pulled out to replace the part. The techs opened the doors and started yanking the unit with the door handles. Eventually they realized there were screws behind the vent plate. After every screw they removed, one tech would yank on the doors to try and pull the fridge back. Eventually they did get the fridge pulled back and replaced the part and the unit worked again. However, they damaged the doors to the point they would not close all the way and have a very loud squeak when they close. I contacted them the same day and they claimed it was unrelated but would come out as a courtesy. The tech did come back and managed to get the doors closing again. The loud squeak (like metal on metal) still remains. My wife didn't want any contractors in the house due to Covid, but now we are trying to sell the house and the squeak is worse than ever. I have contacted Mr. Appliance several times and they finally replied they will have to charge me to return to fix the doors they broke.

To start I was impressed with the response time as well as the fact that the initial diagnostic fee is waived if we have the repair completed. The tech was friendly and knowledgeable, he ordered the part and we paid in full. We had a follow up date and time window scheduled of 8a-1p. The morning of appt. I got a text showing appt time is 3-5p, we will be at work, so I called the office and spoke with Jody who informed me that due to covid there are no guarantee's on appt times and customers are advised of this. I mentioned to Jody, she in fact scheduled my appt. and neglected to inform me of no guarantee of appt time. So right now we have paid aprox $280.00 for an unfinished dishwasher repair and are left at the mercy of the company to find time to fit us in to their busy schedule and actually show up. If you work or have any other scheduling conflicts this company is not well suited for you. Find another company and save yourself the frustration of dishonest shady scammers.

The people at Mr. Appliance are unreliable, incompetent, and uncaring. It took them over 2 months to complete a simple repair of my Miele dishwasher. During that time, they last-minute cancelled appointments that I took time off of work to be present for 3 times. When they finally fixed the dishwasher, the technician damaged adjacent plumbing that created a leak into a cabinet, and denied that he did it. Since that time, Christine from their front desk has continually promised to “get back to me tomorrow” about resolving the issue. At no point in 3 months of dealing with them on a weekly basis did they take responsibility for anything or express remorse. They are dishonest and I will not be using their services again.

Long wait times, they do NOT return calls. I had to call them over 3 weeks(never returned a call) Finally got one problem fixed, but after they left there was a LOUD cracking noise from the fridge. I called them 2 days ago still NO RETURN CALL.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MR APPLIANCE. They do not in any way have your satisfaction in mind. Mr. Appliance of Tri-Cities technicians will find a way to AVOID GIVING YOU A WARRANTIED REPAIR even when your appliance fails for the same reason and part within the one-year deadline. They will find a way to disqualify any warranty so they can charge you full price. In our case, the same part they fixed 11 months ago failed- within the warranty window. The tech arrived and somehow MISDIAGNOSED the problem finding an apparent different issue than the warranty part and so ordered a different non-warrantied part. On top of that, the wrong non-warrantied part was shipped causing a week-long delay. They reordered the correct non-warranty part and we waited more than a week for "expedited shipping". When the tech finally came to the house, he realized he actually DID need to order the WARRANTY part which he he had misdiagnosed from the beginning. AFTER WEEKS of dealing with this, they arrive to install the correct warranty part and the tech spent 2 HOURS trying to slam the part into place. In the end, the technician decides the issue was caused by damage from an unknown object- which he neither could find or prove existed- and therefore DISQUALIFIED THE WARRANTY as "not a manufacturers defect but damage". DO NOT HIRE THIS REPAIR COMPANY in Gray, Tennessee. You will PAY and at their discretion. They will not work with you, and they will not try to make you- the customer- happy. They don't care. They will tell you what you want to hear to your face while in your home, then do everything they can to make you pay as much as they can. Once they bill you, you will never see that money again - no matter what the situation. WE WILL NEVER USE MR. APPLIANCE AGAIN for any reason. I'd rather buy a new appliance than ever spend another penny with this unscrupulous franchise in the Tri-Cities. UPDATE: We talked to the manager of the franchise... Her exact words were, "I'm not going to do anything about this."
