Mountain BaseReviews of mountain-base.com

I am a freelance property photographer and have worked with a number of agencies and private owners across the Alps - I have worked with Mountain Base for many years and they are a company with massive integrity and honesty. The properties are all run with an amazing team behind it and loads of experience. I was compelled to say something on this site when I saw they had a few negative reviews which i believe does not reflect this company. They have a great standing in the valley and for good reason.

We booked and paid a deposit for 6 nights accommodation at Chalet Green Forest in May/ June. It is advertised on the website as is part of an “ongoing development… with the other three (properties) to complete over the coming months” (aka in a building site) and “it is offered at introductory rates”. We booked as thought it was a good price despite being in a building site. We received an email today telling us that they would cancel our booking as could not honour the advertised “introductory” price and offered to rebook at an increased price of almost 400%! Disappointing and unethical to say the least!
