They told me my foreign bachelor's…
They told me my foreign bachelor's degree wasn't equivalent to an American one. I went to WES, and they recognized my degree as equivalent to an American bachelor's. Stay away!!!

Will not give you the price before wasting a lot of your time. After that will annoy you with emails. Wanna get even more spam? They are the guys.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. Our goal is always to be transparent and respectful of our customers’ time, including providing clear pricing and only communicating when it’s relevant. It sounds like we may have missed the mark here, and we take that seriously. Thank you for pointing this out.

Bought their service to evaluate my degree and they did a very terrible job. I called customer support, a guy answered with a thick Turkish accent was very rude and mean wasn’t helpful at all. He told me to basically just pay again for another service. I don’t recommend this at all. Lost $200 and wasted my time. Called my bank and disputed the payment and got my money back haha!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and I’m truly sorry to hear how frustrating this was for you. That is never the kind of interaction we want our customers to have. I’d like to clarify that while our team did complete the evaluation, the decline was unfortunately due to vendor restrictions from your school, not the quality of the work itself. I can completely understand how disappointing it must have been. We truly value your feedback and hope that, under better circumstances, we’ll have the opportunity to serve you again and provide a smoother experience.

I submitted a legal document to be translated. $200 later and the document is translated incorrectly! The information wasn't even close, google translate did a better job! Thankfully, I read both languages and was able to catch the errors and make the corrections. I reached out to the company. They wanted me to provide them where the errors were. AKA do their job for them. I will never recommend or use again. No refund.

I am writing to formally express my concerns and dissatisfaction with Motaword’s current cancellation policy. I believe the policy, as it stands, is unfair and potentially abusive towards clients, specifically in the limited window provided for cancellations.
Response from MotawordJan 11, 2024
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent experience with MotaWord. We would like to clarify that the cancellation request came after the document was already translated and delivered, fully meeting the agreed-upon scope of the project. As outlined in our terms of service, cancellations after project completion are not eligible for refunds. This policy ensures fair compensation for our translators who have already invested their time and expertise into fulfilling your request. While we empathize with your desire for flexibility, I hope you understand that honoring agreements and respecting the work of our translators is vital to maintaining a sustainable and ethical business model.

Using people to work for them for free. They offer work to as many people as possible at the same time, which cannot provide consistency and unanimity, ever. After providing translation for all the glossary terms, I was accused for using machine translation - which was not the case, just an excuse to not be paid after doing my part. Never again:) So quickly they deleted my profile on the platform to not be able the translated strings (no matter what the error was) to be tracked and to show what I was working on. Everything is gone now, every track of what was done, like the typing mistake I commited in here earlier:)

I worked with Motaword a couple months ago to translate several reports. If you're looking to get translations done correctly and to a high standard, don't choose them. If you're not looking to deal with remarkably rude employees that not only refuse refunds but also have an attitude when you speak to them - perhaps because they are well aware of the low quality/rush work they produce? - don't choose them. We sent these translated versions of our reports to a valuable client and almost lost them as a client because most of the translations were, in our client's words, "unusable" and "terrible". The shoddy work cost us thousands of dollars in 1) our client's money, that they had to spend to get their work translated by a better service 2) our money, since we gave them a partial refund - we wanted to maintain a good relationship and maintain a high standard of work for our client. Very luckily, we didn't lose this client. I spoke personally with the less-than-kind Motaword leadership team and in their words, the reason they wouldn't give a refund is that we owed them a chance to "fix their mistakes." Let's get a few things clear here. 1) If a company's final deliverables that they send you are to such a low standard that ENTIRE REPORTS are "unusable," can you really trust them to fix their mistakes and actually deliver good work after being given a second chance? No. 2) We were on a time crunch and needed the reports within a specific time frame. That is why we specified, when we made these orders with Motaword, when we needed them by. WE didn't have time after our due date to give them time to fix the bad translations - time which, of course, we in no way owed them. 2) We had native speakers (within and outside our company) analyze the reports and pinpoint errors and entire sections which made no sense, grammatically or contextually. Still did not result in a refund. So if you need translated work that actually...translates, avoid Motaword at all costs.

MotaWord website claims to be " the world’s - - -, lowest cost, cloud-based, collaborative human translation platform" In my book, that is translated to "paying lowest and unprofessional rates to human translators. I have not worked with them, and I will probably not be accepted with my professional and appropriate requested rates.
