Do not buy this course! This school has no interest in helping people out, it’s rather all about ripping people off their money and not supporting them while doing so.
In a nutshell: I enrolled, started paying, was inspired at first but then discovered tons of internal resistance as I was not a fit for anything they do- they want to make yoga teachers into healers, which definitely is not my calling. I still was assured during my “breakthrough call” that I will be able to fulfil my dream connected with yoga. I was offered a discount, although the price point of the course is still extremely high and I was lured into signing immediately, as I was told it’s either now or never (great technique using feeling of scarcity to push someone into making a decision). This selling method is also how they teach the participants to sell their programs, which is completely unethical and simply wrong. Their promise of only 2 students per month to maintain a stable income is a complete illusion as the majority of participants don’t even get that far. The reviews here are written probably by bots judging by the great overall rating. Not transparent at all, hidden costs all around, FB Group for participants is highly moderated (not favourable posts and comments being deleted on a regular basis) and the owner lacks empathy, which he showed in some of his comments within the group; he seems to think of himself as of a guru. It all felt like a sect or a cult as nobody is allowed to speak how they really feel. Lots of participants struggle for months if not years and do not regain their initial investment + all hidden cost of marketing and all platforms they require according to course outline back, hence all the „support”.
After claiming my money back and having a constructive conversation with one of the employees I received an e-mail feedback claiming they want to help me based on somebody’s else experience(they mistaken me with another person making a claim) which is in a complete breach of data protection, needless to say incredibly incompetent and unprofessional.
Lastly while awaiting a call to discuss the entire situation connected with my claim the call was cancelled until further notice without any explanation. It’s been over a week now that I did not hear back by when a new date will be determined.
It’s been an absolute nightmare and I truly hope nobody else will ever need to go through what I went through. This “school” has nothing to do with teachings of yoga.

This is a very strange scam
This is a very strange scam. I decided to look into it because their marketing is relentless. Even before my call and after i set it up, they had emailed and texted me at least 10 times to confirm. They set up a call with you to see if you're willing to pay a lot of money but never quite explain the product or what you're doing on the call. The girl actually insulted me when she learned that I had enough intelligence to see through it. These strange scams are popping up everywhere and taking advantage of so many people just looking for a way to build a career out of a passion and/or calling.

Steer Clear of Modern Yoga (Yoga Mastermind)
Modern Yoga (Yoga Mastermind) is a scam. Ryan Rockwell has created a group of teachers and healers who pay tons of money with zero return. There are several of us who have come together with these common complaints and some have already won their credit card disputes. Modern Yoga advertises as helping teachers and coaches create their personalized program for students but they instead teach you software and Facebook ads strategies to funnel in clients the same way they do for their company. They don’t tell you on their Breakthrough Call, (when they pressure you to sign up on the spot of the price doubles, so you better grab it for $8k now) that there are hidden and undisclosed monthly fees. I wound up spending $100s per month over the initial $8k investment and when I finally couldn’t bleed money anymore and paused those monthly subscriptions to click funnels, stealth seminar, once hub, there was no way for me to implement the webinar funnel which is the only thing this company outlines for you to make on your own anyway. When I reached out to them and asked for a refund as they breached their agreement with me by not providing the best service and by not disclosing the extra fees, they dismissed me and told me no and that I can use the Facebook forum- which turns out is quite cultish. As a teacher, I want help in getting students, not to spend time in a Facebook group getting more help to do a program that is certainly not aligned with my values and morals. Any concerns posted in the group, or comments that don’t reflect positively on the Modern Yoga brand, are deleted. Any Facebook ads you see from Modern Yoga, the negative comments have been deleted. They are censoring and won’t allow people to see all sides of this company. It’s shady and sad. I regret getting involved and losing all that money, time, and energy. I feel like an idiot for believing in this. There are days I feel extremely depressed and I hope there is resolution. There are several of us who have been affected and we are working to get our money back and have justice. I hope the credit card companies help all the people who have filed disputes because unfortunately we are victims who were taken advantage of by Ryan Rockwell and Modern Yoga. Recently, there have many complaints from numerous people, so Ryan made a video message and posted on the Facebook group. He began the message by victimizing himself, discussing his medical issues and illness, attempting to make everyone feel badly for him, and then when he addresses the concerns, he whines about it, says how unfair it is, that this company is his baby, and how dare we say anything bad about it, he invalidated everyone with complaints and instead of being a professional owner of a company who takes responsibly, he blames us, the victims, for speaking out and causing problems. It was disturbing to watch and the entire situation is sickening all around.
Steer clear of Modern Yoga.

In your review you highlight an important aspect of running a business, that we’d love to address, especially in today’s era;
What you are referring to as “extra fees,” are not fees that are charged by us, but necessary costs to run an online business. Listening back to the recording of your enrollment (breakthrough) call, you mention that you work part time in marketing, aside from the Yoga teaching, and that you are excited to learn more about this.
We believe that most people, especially those who have knowledge about marketing, would agree that advertising and easy accessibility to content are keystone elements to running a successful business. Yoga should be treated no differently.
However, after you enrolled into the program in February 2021 we started to implement a breakdown of these extra running costs on the breakthrough calls, just to ensure that this is clear to everyone starting the program.
On your Breakthrough call your coach explained to you that we teach HOW to create a signature program, how to bring it online, how to launch and how to market it, starting with an advertisement campaign that leads to a webinar.
We want to ensure you have full autonomy over your business when you graduate and don’t rely on us afterwards. That is why we don’t do it for you, but guide you step by step in the process of learning how to set it up and manage it yourself. Providing as many templates and support as possible.
Still, even after graduating you will always be part of our supportive community of Entrepreneurial Yogis and continue to receive updated content to keep growing your business.
Then, about the enrollment and the quick start scholarship you received. If you look at any other coaching program with the same amount of support you would likely indeed have paid double. However we try to keep our tuition fee as low as possible. We even decided to reward those who want to hold themselves accountable, and start straight away, with an incentive bonus of 25% on the total. Those who are courageous and decisive to keep the momentum going and make a commitment to themselves to start working towards their goals will more likely be successful. Too many people stay on the fence for months before taking the leap to build their program and start to work with premium clients. So by choosing the quick start scholarship they actually save themselves a lot of time, energy and eventually loss of possible profit for their business.
Lastly, we understand that everyone moves at a different pace, and we are always happy to accommodate and provide support. With this in mind, is it concerning that you mentioned in your review that when you were struggling, you sought help in the Facebook group which is mainly for communication between students, but you never scheduled a meeting with any of your coaches. They are there to provide you with 1 on 1 support.
Listening back to your breakthrough call you mentioned to our breakthrough coach something you tell your own students; “If you expect someone to do it for you and you don’t put in the work, then you are going to get what you put in”. This is very true and
as you seemed to align with our views, our breakthrough coach believed truly that you were a good fit for our program and therefore provided you an invitation.
We cannot help but feel that you could have benefited so much more from the program if you took advantage of all the provided resources and the 6 different coaches that were made plainly available. When you enrolled you also received our Do The Work Guarantee that allowed you to stay in the program and receive coaching as long as needed to become successful and recoup your investment. We are sad to learn that you haven’t made use of this opportunity.

Exercise extreme caution
A month ago, in my "breakthrough call" I was pressured to sign a non-refundable contract with MYT. I was told that the program would help me achieve financial freedom while working from anywhere. I wasn't allowed any details about the course and was forced to start the program the day after signing the contract. I was not allowed to call my significant other to discuss this financial decision because the cost of the program would go up from $8,000 to $12,000 if I ended the call. I was told I would make my investment back in just about two clients and was shown only the positive reviews from this Trustpilot page.
When I asked about the additional costs needed to complete the program, I was told the only other additional expense was Facebook ads at about $300-$600. Upon entering the program, it was immediately apparent that I was misled. There are several different platforms that you must use to complete the program, all of which have monthly fees that altogether exceeds the $300-$600 that I was initially told. Plus, additional support calls are offered at the unreachable cost of $250/30 minute 1-on-1 session!
On Day 1, I was overcharged $2,000, which exceeded my credit limit and had to immediately reach out for a refund to this unauthorized charge.
Many people in the program experience technical difficulties and are told to google their problems and search through the entire course before reaching out with any questions.
After several email threads requesting to leave the program, they finally agreed to release me from my contract, but are refusing my request for a refund despite their business malpractice. After all of this, I have just received a notice that they are trying to continue charging me and if I do not pay, then I will be charged with a $100 late fee!
I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau with no response.
MYT preys on financially insecure and burnt-out yoga instructors by offering financial freedom at an extremely overpriced cost and through predatory marketing tactics.
Update: I am being told by MYT that I must remove this negative comment in order to be released from the program.

First, it should be noted that Ashley has only experienced 25 percent of the program. Without having gone through even half of the program, her complaint has been formed without the full understanding of the program. This is misleading and provides unqualified information for prospective students.
After watching a free online class, in which attendees are able to receive a Continuing Education hour through Yoga Alliance, Modern Yoga Teacher offers a breakthrough call with a breakthrough coach, also free of charge. The idea of the call is to go through the client’s ideas and create a strategic plan with them to take their yoga teaching online. This plan is based on what we have the most experience with, which is the same strategy that we use for our company and teach our students to develop through our program..
On the call, the prospective student has the opportunity to share their experience and goals, and the breakthrough coach provides tools for the prospective student to shift their mindset and work to achieve their goals. Together, if a client's idea has potential for growth and benefits from our program’s teachings, the breakthrough coach will offer the option for the prospective student to move forward in joining our program, which has been proven to work for the majority of students presented with this opportunity. . .
Similarly to many businesses, both in the online education space and beyond, we provide various price points depending upon how the student chooses to pay. The prospective student has the choice to pay upfront, through installments or in full, at the time of the call or after they have made their choice whether or not to proceed. Due to a variety of factors, we can not guarantee that a price will still be available following the initial offer on the breakthrough call.
We have the recording between Ashley and our breakthrough coach which clearly shows that Ashley made her own decision to sign up for the program. To confirm that, we sent a written agreement which Ashley signed. To assure our clients read the entire agreement, it is short and clear.
Our breakthrough coach shared the additional costs to be expected over the course of the program, including the Facebook ad costs and told Ashley, as we tell all of our other students , that the costs usually end up around $300-$600 depending on how much advertising they are running. The costs for ads are normally higher at the end of the program when the students are launching their webinar and ads to market their program.
These additional costs are not used for the entirety of the program (5 months), rather during some parts of it, especially towards the end. This is why most of our students don't exceed $600. Our team reached out to Ashley regarding this concern, with a table and breakdown that clearly shows the client this price range.
During the time Ashley signed up for the program, we were updating our system which caused a glitch that charged Ashley twice (instead once) the amount of $2000. We refunded her the duplicate charge as soon as we discovered this error. We are human, and mistakes happen. We made a conscientious effort to eliminate these errors and take responsibility for this inconvenience.
According to the agreement Ashley signed with us, it clearly states that we do not provide any refunds or accept any cancellations. Even though we tried to compensate for the mistake that happened with the additional charge, she refused to accept any other offer and negotiation we tried to offer.
Without taking responsibility for her action for signing a legally binded contract and unwilling to renegotiate, Ashley didn’t respect again the agreement that states that we do not allow disputes and chargeback. Also she opened a dispute on the only charge we have taken from her so far. She signed an agreement to pay $8000, paid only $2000 and filed a dispute to get it back.

UPDATE: They have now advised that they will only let me out of my contract with them IF I delete all negative online reviews on Trust Pilot and BBB, and stop my credit card dispute against them for misleading sales tactics and misleading advertising regarding the actual product they are selling versus what they tell you they are selling. I guess its not so strange that they have almost no negative reviews when so many people are upset with their product and services... they coerce those with negative reviews to remove them.

This company is not worth the money. The price is exorbitant and the tactics used to sign you into the program are awful. Extremely high pressured, and they do not listen when you say no. They push and push and push. Then they teach you how to do the exact same thing to other people.
They target yoga teachers that are already overworked and underpaid under the guise that you will create a signature program that will give you the life of your dreams charging others $3000-$10,000 to learn from you.
You are not able to see any of the program outline or content prior to paying the extremely high price tag, but once you get access you quickly see that you have over paid for the content and program in general. They use only one form of advertising which is Facebook Ads and claim their marketing strategy is "cutting edge".
There really is no proof of success. All testimonials are from people still in the course, not actually completed and making their money back. They tell you about 10 hours of work a week to get through the course, but it is easily double and there are additional costs after you sign up in order to use the platforms they want you to use.
They censor the private Facebook page that you get access to as a student and so as soon as a negative comment or someone who is dissatisfied comments it is taken down never to be seen again.
Do your research people. Do not cave on your first call like so many of us did. Do. Your. Research. There is a lot of information out there. please look.

How ridiculous of a response- just as usual from you guys. You didn’t address ashy of the complaints, only used this as a platform to try to market yourself again on a program that is literally ruining peoples lives.
Your offers to me were unrealistic, and this is why I declined them. I told you from the start that I would not settle for anything less than my money back, and you refused.
Funny… you say I cenases use of the program…. I supposed that would be because you removed all of my access to the online platform- even after taking over $8000 of my money. That is not me ceasing right complete the program- that is theft. And you will be held accountable for this.

Marie only completed 57% of the program, did not utilize the full support provided by the program, and has chosen to cease participation. We would love to come to a resolution on this matter to move forward in a way that supports both Marie and Modern Yoga Teacher.
It is the goal of the entire team at Modern Yoga Teacher to support our students to create abundant, sustainable businesses where they are able to support their ideal clients.
To date, we are unaware of another coaching and online education program that provides the level of support that Modern Yoga Teacher provides to our students. Especially not at this price point. We provide our students with multiple 1:1 calls with an accountability coach and mindset coach throughout the course of the program. We also provide multiple group support calls that are offered multiple times per week with a tech coach, ads coach, social media coach, sales coach, as well as group support with accountability coaches and mindset coaches that can be utilized in addition to the student’s 1:1 calls with their coaches.
Modern Yoga Teacher also has a guarantee in place that provides continued support to students until they make their return on their investment, provided they do the work. Marie would have been entitled to this guarantee if she had chosen to complete the work within the program.
Regarding Marie's concern about not being able to see a program outline, or course content prior to signing up for the program, we provide a free online class, which is an overview of what is taught. Prior to joining the program, our prospective students also have the opportunity to speak 1:1 with a breakthrough coach, which is also free. This call’s purpose is to go through the client’s ideas and create a strategic plan with them to take their yoga teaching online. This plan is based on what we have the most experience with, which is the same strategy that we use for our company and teach our students to develop through our program.
On the breakthrough call, the prospective student has the opportunity to share their experience and goals, and the breakthrough coach provides tools for the prospective student to shift their mindset and work to achieve their goals. Focusing on a primary platform provides them the opportunity to develop mastery on the most impactful marketing platforms, instead of spreading themselves too thin. This also provides students with the opportunity to apply the skills and concepts they have learned to other advertising platforms as their business grows.
Regarding the estimated amount of time spent in the program, this is the average that we have seen the majority of our students require to go through the material, implement and build their businesses. Depending on how students plan their time, this is a generous estimation, but it is just that - an estimation that has been accurate for the majority of our students.
We are more than happy to provide testimonials from students who have created successful businesses by completing the program over our nearly 5 years in business.
To conclude, we have reached out providing multiple options for resolution to the commenter. This includes extending her time in the program, additional 1:1 calls at no additional charge, and both of these solutions were declined. Marie only completed 57% of the program, did not utilize the full support provided by the program, and has chosen to cease participation. We would love to move forward with resolving this complaint, that is unsupportive to future prospective clients as the commenter did not complete the program in its entirety or take full advantage of the comprehensive support and teaching provided within the container of the program.

So rude and pushy sales people
So rude. I took a free webinar through these folks and then they offered a free coaching session. Within the first 5 minutes of the call it became clear they were not interested in offering any coaching, only seeing how much money I had to invest in future coaching lessons. When I told the so-called "coach" that I didn't have any money to invest and it was clear to me that this wasn't a good match, she hung up! Like literally ended the call without even saying a word. I can't believe how rude that was. So unprofessional.

Our Breakthrough Coaches are there to help - either by fully explaining our coaching program and seeing if this is a good fit for you, or - if it’s not - then offering some direction into some alternative support and I am genuinely so sorry that this did not happen in your instance. Our Breakthrough Coaches are human and, at times, they do not live up to their best versions of themselves. We are taking this incredibly seriously and have updated our processes to ensure - should a coach feel overwhelmed, or frustrated or too emotional for a call - that we can pass this on to another team member. I know this does not help you, but I do hope it helps to know another person is not going to feel the way you do.
