Lousy product
I purchased a new home just less than one year ago. The builder had installed four Haylen 59" lights on the sides of the garage doors. In fact, they installed four 31" lights around a one patio and two 24" at another patio. All six other lights are working. I've only used the 59" lights about 2-3 times over that period. During the first five months, when I turned them on, a portion of one of them didn't illuminate and I had the builder replace one of the led light strips. I hadn't used them since until the other day, I decided I would place them on a schedule through my Crestron home automation. I went to change the lights via remote to 2700K and noticed three of the four had portions not illuminating, so I contacted MOD-Lighting to report the issue. Since I didn't purchase them directly, the email dialogue took several days about 11 emails. I provided them all they asked for including pictures. Received an email last evening informing me that since it's around a year and I don't have a receipt, I can purchase new led light strips from them. They stated these cause could be power outages, electrical fluctuations, loose or faulty wiring or normal wear and tear over time. The wear and tear is ridiculous since they've been used 2-3 times. Even if used nightly, led strips should last MANY years. I've lost power once since in this home. The builder is also an automation company and installed led strip accents in many kitchen cabinets, in ceilings and some walls and no problems with lights used many times daily. I've spent 30 years in the electrical/electronics industry. I feel this product is junk and customer service puts one through a gauntlet rather than providing a positive customer experience and providing 3 replacement strips at their retail price of 29.95 each and most likely a cost of a total of less than 20.00. I won't repair them and have ordered new lights at a price of over 1300.00 from a different company! Don't waste your many with these lights. Update October 14 2026: after many discussions with their customer service, a rep by the name of Michelle stepped in and really took care of this issue. She needed up sending three brand new updated lights for the three with issues and also one more so all four lights can be changed out. Very satisfied with this resolution!

Because your lights came through your builder rather than from us directly, it took our support team longer than it should have to find your order and match the right replacements to your Haylen setup, and that meant more emails than anyone should need. We sent four new lights rather than three so all of your garage lights match, and we’re glad you’re happy with how it ended. Entire Experience was great
Our ordering, purchases, and deliveries of our beautiful lights and crystal pendants and exterior lighting was easy, smooth and on time. Our electrician hung and installed our lights in our newly constructed house. They are all stunning. I kept the Hailstone crystal pendant theme uniform throughout our home and used modern Harlow up and down shining lights for exterior lighting. We have the Hailstone fixtures with 5, 10, 14 and 28 crystals in our bedroom, stairway, dining room, and great room. We have inspired others with their beauty and after visiting our home these friends and family have ordered the Hailstone light fixture for their own homes.
We had a minor issue with one of our exterior lighting fixtures however MOD Lighting’s customer service graciously helped us and we hope to get it working again soon, after we reinstall the new parts. MOD Lighting’s customer service was efficient in communication and their response time was very quick. MOD Lighting is a very reputable good company with exciting beautiful quality products. I highly recommend buying your lighting fixtures from them.
