Maharishi International UniversityReviews of miu.edu

I went to MIU for four years in the late 1970's and got my BA in Literary studies there. To this day I think of those years as the most important, interesting and exhilarating years of my life. They prepared me well for employment even though, due to the personal computer revolution that was coming on fast and furiously at the time, I quickly transitioned to a career in computer-related fields. The fact is that I was well-educated, and that gave me a good shot at success in just about any area I would want to pursue. There was also, of course, the extraordinary education in consciousness that I received at MIU. This would take a lot more than a simple review to adequately describe. But I consider it three-quarters of what made MIU special for me. To think I could come out of college with a solid degree in my chosen career field AND ALSO feel that I had made huge strides in my personal development as a human being. What a great foundation for the rest of my life, a life that I can honestly say has been truly fortunate and fulfilling.

I graduated MIU in 1979. My education at MIU helped prepare me for a wonderful life and a sucessful career. To this day, I credit my MIU education for my success.

I graduated in 1982. I was very fortunate, in that I did not have enough money to go four years straight through so I was able to work on staff there and earn credit for school. Not having enough money allowed me to spend seven wonderful years there. What's wonderful about MIU? It's the atmosphere created by all the students, faculty, and staff doing the Transcendental Meditation (TM) Program twice a day. You feel it when you it when you are awake, when you are in class, when you are sleeping, and when you are meditating. If you want something that will change the rest of your life then come here. People that practice TM come from all different backgrounds and can be different in many ways but when they come together, to meditate, twice a day, they create such a powerful atmosphere. Everyone should come here and experience this!

MIU is the ideal university for those of us intent on gaining truly profound knowledge and enjoying holistic personal development, all in an atmosphere of love and joy.

I love that MIU cultivates the growth of the whole student: their mind, their physical health, their spiritual growth, their happy social life. Practicing TM, eating wholesome food--mostly organic and often grown on campus--and studying with great, wise faculty and students produces a life-changing, expansive and uplifting experience that literally no other college can provide. It's been a joy to get my MA at MIU and continue to participate in their educational and evolutionary programs, for deeper self-knowledge and a more rewarding and happy experience of life. I'm so grateful to MIU.

The meditation, organic food, healthy lifestyles, recreational facilities, super friendly, helpful people, and enlightened courses of all kinds - make for an ideal education and living. Unique in all the world.

Before attending MIU, I went to 9 other colleges and universities, changing majors/subjects every time. I knew something was missing, but I didn't know what it was until I finally experienced consciousness-based education. Without a means to experience pure consciousness and understand how everything is connected, knowledge remains superficial. Knowledge of the knower is essential. This is what education should be.

Highest level of knowledge available anywhere. Greatest possible gains in self development.Absolutely no stress involved in achieving the most gain.
