While going to school at MIU (that's what it was called then), I finally felt part of the group not an outsider looking in. It was amazing, refreshing and confidence building to be in that atmosphere. Not only did I not feel "pressured with school work and to get good grades, but I felt I was growing from the inside out. I was becoming happier and wanted to meet new people and learning new things. This experience was so different from my undergraduate school years. Thank you Maharishi for creating this refreshingly new experience in education.

Best two years of education I ever had.

Wonderful environment and a deep, meaningful education that prepared me for a happy and successful life.

As a 1979 MIU graduate, I can tell you my MIU education put me miles ahead of others. Other universities teach data, information that you will forget even before you graduate. But at MIU, you learn universal laws of nature that apply to every. single. field. At the college I attended before, I dropped out because I couldn't learn, couldn't concentrate, couldn't memorize. Statistics class was the class that finally made me give up. MIU taught me how to study and learn, and the TM technique raised my IQ and helped me to concentrate so much better that after I graduated I took the same course at the old college and MADE AN A--the top grade in the class. I also found myself successful in areas that I never dreamed possible, such as organizing a city-wide clean-up campaign and starting my own business. Over the years, I have found that what I learned at MIU made an active difference in every area of my life, becoming richer and more meaningful as time went on, serving as practical guidance in confusing situations, giving me the courage based on trust in that knowledge of natural law, and, so often, a larger, more original, and more creative vision than others who did not have an education like this. Those rare people who are unhappy with the MIU education appear to me to be those who only tolerate their own ideas. I think I got so much benefit because I stayed on the program, neither arguing and resisting nor mindlessly obeying, but awake to learn and understand, being willing to give up my small perspective to see if "their" way could be right. Indeed, every time I did that, I discovered new gifts of learning and wisdom. I am humbled that I got to experience this extraordinary school, but it isn't magic. To get the benefits, you have to be willing to do it their way. It was a precious experience which, even four decades later, I treasure.

I graduated from MIU in 1979 and ever since it changed to MUM I have been waiting for it to go back to MIU.

MIU is a much better name than MUM

I had attended other colleges before, but found MIU to be the first to provide a useful education. I wouldn't exchange my degree for any other. MIU gave me a profoundly fulfilling, practical education which benefited me my whole life.

The air is easier to breath in Fairfield. The serenity of MIU's atmosphere pervades every nook and cranny of your physical and spiritual being from the time you arrive and never really goes away, not even when you do. This is where "true knowledge" is found as easily as breathing oxygen because it just happens to be knowledge of one's self...where You meet with all else that exists on the level of the finest impulse of creation. So, if you're looking to jump-start your life by finding relavence to the world through education or you just want a better quality of life, this is where desires meet fruition.Take a deep breath!
