I graduated from MIU and can say how extremely how happy I was there as a student:) I’m now taking an online graduate course and love it as well.

I completed the M.B.A. program at MIU in 1985. What a pleasant contrast to my undergraduate experience at a state university. The combination of academics and focus on developing higher states of consciousness is remarkable. Maintenance of rest and good health is actually encouraged, not just rhetoric for their brochures. Highly recommended!

Attending and graduating from MIU with a BFA in Art was one of the very best experiences of my life. The faculty were truly outstanding in knowledge, expertise and in working with me as a student. The curriculum was fantastic. The first year I took 24 week-long courses and found myself immersed each week in the most important cutting edge knowledge of the field. Each course was presented in a way that connected it with every other discipline through underlying principles found in every aspect of life. Not only were the diverse courses connected but all the courses and the principles underlying them were connected back to my own personal experience in meditation and in my daily life and persona growth. Attending MIU was both a wonderful experience and the best possible preparation for life. It developed in me skills and abilities to see more deeply into everything that is essential for success in the world, professionally and personally. While it's practical value for success may seem to be its main benefit, what it really offered was a means to see everything in creation in terms of myself - to see that we are all truly interconnected and have the ability grow in fulfillment, or you could say Enlightenment. The Transcendental Meditation technique provided me with a means to dive deep within myself, remove stress and barriers to learning and to grow in consciousness daily. I can't say enough about the value and joy of attending MIU! Whenever someone I know attends MIU, it is an absolute joy to me. I know they will receive the best education in the world, they will enjoy it and they will be masters of their own destiny as a result.

Best choice I ever made for personal growth, content knowledge, inner happiness, and to make an incredible world-wide circle of new friends. As a Literature major we specialized in writing, research and presentation—skills transferable to any career! Just go there for a Visitor weekend and see for yourself.

I received a BFA in art and graphic design from MIU in 1984. My 5 years as a student were fun, inspiring, and laid a valuable foundation for my life. I made lifelong friends and even married my college sweetheart. My degree and other skills learned as a student have been very valuable in many professional roles over the years

I went to 3 universities before attending MIU. Absolutely honestly... MIU was far and away the best educational experience that I ever had. What contributed to it was - the super smart and accessible instructors, the style of teaching that relates the most abstract and universal nature of the Universe to each and every discipline AND to the student who actually experiences it daily with the TM Meditation. And the fact that you are physically more comfortable than you could ever imagine at any regular university campus - the food, the living space, the study space, the recreational space. And the students are so nice. Forget the weirdness. Forget the "I don't want to be in school" thinking. OK, I'm done. You get the picture. It would just be so wrong to die and look back and think... "I could have experienced that!" Just do it. You will love it.

I received a Master's Degree from MIU in 1985. It was very good then and has only become better. There is no other institution of higher learning in the country that offers not only a quality education in standard fields of learning, but also develops the consciousness of the knower. The practice of TM and its advanced programs structures more wakefulness, expanded comprehension, clarity of thought, and emotional stability in the midst of our fast-changing world and does so on the level of the physiology, so it is real and solid, not just a fleeting state of mind. At the same time, the whole environment enjoys remarkable liveliness and harmony, where negativity has little chance to grow and flourish. MIU's unique course offerings, including the Vedic Studies curriculum, Ayur-Veda professionals program, and sustainable living program, are frosting on the cake. I loved it there and always enjoy going back.

As a 1986 BA Graduate/ Psychology and a 1st. Student Sidhi course MIU was my home for 20 yrs. So for me the name MUM or MIU really didn't matter. It is the consciousness of what one has gained by being in this environment that matters the most.
