Regarding the hotel that was not ideal for you, I assume you are referring to the Athenaeum Hotel in Athens. It is actually a highly rated hotel that consistently receives excellent reviews from travelers. While it is located a little outside the city center and on a busy main avenue, it offers a high level of comfort and service. When planning this tour, we worked closely with your group leader to review several hotel options. Our goal was to provide the best possible accommodations while also keeping the overall tour cost as affordable as possible for everyone. Although there were hotels available in different locations, they often came with significantly higher prices or lower guest ratings. After reviewing the options together, your leader felt that choosing a highly rated hotel with excellent service was the best overall value for the group, especially since most of your time would be spent exploring Athens rather than at the hotel itself. While we understand that location preferences can vary from person to person, we believe this choice provided the best balance of quality, comfort, and affordability for the group as a whole.
