Found 1/4" slivers that could be dangerous to a dog's soft palate !!!
Have used Missing Link for more than 15 years and fed it daily to a total of 6 dogs over those years. Recently, in the course of few months, we had 2 bags from 2 different lot numbers with 1/4" "slivers" in them. The first bag had huge clumps in it that needed to be hit to break them up. The "slivers" could be husks from grain or they could be wood pulp. One of slivers was hard enough and sharp enough I forced it into my skin and with a little more pressure it would have drawn blood. It wouldn't bend or collapse - not something we want our dogs ingesting in that it could easily penetrate a dog's soft palate. The manufacturer was attentive and has promised a refund. First time around they replaced the bag. We decided that it was time to move on and will now add green lipped mussel extract instead of Missing Link - we have simply lost confidence in this company's ability to put out a product free of foreign matter/trash. One time we can understand. But twice over several months from different manufacturing lots - quality control is failing somewhere. Buyer beware.
