Miru AdventuresReviews of miruadventures.com

Miru Adventures organized our trip to Palau and Yap in an organized, informed, and always helpful manner. There were hiccups with our baggage (the airline's fault) in getting to our destination, and Miru's staff worked diligently to help us acquire it in as timely a manner as possible. Problem solving to get us clothing and gear were handled well. We felt relaxed and confident with all travel arrangements. Accommodations were lovely, adventures plentiful, snorkeling sights amazing. To our guides, Rich and Kristen, thank you for your professionalism, friendliness, flexibility, and hard work. All of which made our trip perfect.

Traveling to Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda with Miru Adventures was a perfect trip. The camps and accommodations were great. The food was fabulous. Our local guides were amazing. We saw tons of animals and had many unique experiences. Our travel leader, Amber was always in a good mood, made everything so special and did it all seamlessly. It was a perfect trip.

Miru Adventures's Kenya and Tanzania-Back to Africa was an unforgettable trip. Miru provided excellent customer service. All questions and concerns were answered and resolved promptly. We cannot imagine going on a safari with any guide other than Lex Hes. His expertise is beyond compare. Games drives are always an adventure with Lex! We enjoyed the variety of camps and the staff was always willing to please.

The trip with Amber was fantastic! Trip of a lifetime!

Lex in Africa. It doesn't get better than that. Your support with transportation very helpful too.

Rich and Kristin were the stars, but let's not forget those behind the scenes. Flight changes by United forced the trip to be completely rearranged twice in the last few months. Both times the team found a way to make it work without losing any key features of the trip. Once there, Rich and Kristin kept us on schedule and in the water they were constantly pointing out creatures and their behaviors to those around them. Those who wanted to search on their own nearby could do that as well. I have spent hundreds of hours in tropical waters, and they were still finding many things I had never seen. I was able to photograph about 120 species of fish, and I'm sure I missed many more. Of course there is logistic work on site as well. They kept our meal orders straight, coordinated with great local guides, and made sure we went to interesting and diverse places. They probably also fixed dozens of things behind the scenes that we never had to know about. The hotel in Yap was no 5-star place, but it was pleasant and the staff were friendly and more than helpful. They worked with Rich and Kristin to navigate United's lost baggage process so that we got our bags back with minimal work on our part. We were the first group in after a long COVID shutdown in Yap. In Palau we had a very nice room in a resort. Sometimes it's the little things. In our previous tropical trip (different country, different company) the room looked nice but our clothing never dried out. Here, everything was a little nicer AND our clothing stayed dry in spite of humid weather outdoors.

The airlines kept changing their flight schedule requiring many changes of itinerary, each increasing the cost of the flight. While this was frustrating, the problem was created by United Airlines. Miru and their support team worked with us patiently through this process. Ultimately, Miru hired a private airline to fly us round trip from Palau to Yap and back. Miru absorbed this cost. I would and have used Miru again.

Rich and Kristen are the best. Highly recommended.
